How does your game fit the theme?
I thought of musical scales! In this game, you can build a machine to play music. The machine loves scales - almost as if it was built for it.

I had a lot of fun !

This is truly an orignial and mind blowing idea!
This might be a good tool for someone to learn about notes and logic at the same time.

This is very original! And very fun! Intuitive while also allowing for the player to build surprising complex machines. Had a couple of moments of confusion at first but after a little playing all became clear.

That's an amazing idea and realisation, If feels that I can play with it for hours!

Pure music-programming!

This is a really cool concept!  I'm not great at building scales and rhythms, but I think people who are will find this game is really neat!  Awesome job!

This was hard for me to wrap my head around. I could have used an example machine to build around.

Developer

That’s a great suggestion, I’d definitely like to add some example machines in future once I get the mechanics working more consistently and implement a save/load system. Thanks for playing!

Update: Of course, I cannot update the game until the game jam is over, but I made a couple of simple machines and put them in the screenshots :)

Great idea, I definitely built a machine to a scale! :) I wish the sounds were nicer and allowed for better music, but the idea is certainly worth expanding. Cool!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree with you on the sound quality - I'll definitely keep going and put some work into the mixing and timing. Maybe even turn it into a proper game :D

It is like a mini version of MaxMsp - I love it

i'm not very musical but fun to mess around with.

Ahhh this is wonderful. Had a great time playing around with this. Well done

Fun idea altough my lacking musical talent didn't exactly make the experience good for my ears :). All the mechanics seemed very polished and I was impressed by how many there were. The artistic style is also very nice and charming. Very creative interpretation of the theme and fantastic execution: good job!

Realy nice entry and really interesting take on the theme. Awesome job!

As a music and sound designer, this totally blew me away!!! This is really cool, and I'm impressed you were able to make this in 4 days :)

Developer

Thanks so much! It's also my first game so I'm personally blown away by all the nice feedback :D

I wanted to do something with music scales soooo bad but couldn't come up with anything, this is a great interpretation!

A very fun toolbox of music creation. I tried all the instruments, and I kinda wish there was more of them. Still good though!

Love seeing another take on the musical scale! Wish there's a repository in the game to serve as inspiration but otherwise really neat idea!

Very creative and cool! It's like the worlds most elaborate DAW! I imagine people making things that resemble Factorio worlds that play Mozart. Very cool!

Wow, very cool game! It's the most creative I've seen so far.  Would be cool to have a share button or something to load other people's creations.

Developer

That‘s high praise, thank you! I love the share button idea - I‘ll definitely try to implement that in future. Also saving and loading in general.

I love your theme interpretation. It was also the origin idea for mine too. I guess not many people thought of scales in that way huh ;)

Cool idea, i'd love to hear what other people make with this, i'm not smart enough to make anything which sounds good.
