It is amazing that you guys can make this in just 48 hour ! Really love this

Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Developer

Thanks a bunch:)

good game. although sometimes enemies would spawn directly next to meat the start of the round failing me instantly.

Submitted(+2)

Very cool concept ! But sometimes I did not have the time to react that I was already killed. I really like also the fact that the dice indicate the spawn positions.

Developer

Hey thanks for playing! I would have liked to add a pause before the combat started just so you can adjust your mouse after clicking "Go" but we weren't able to in the time.

What an interesting idea to have the spawn position and enemie variation rolled by dices. I like the combination of 3D and 2D you implemented. But i always find a one hit mechanic very frustrating. Especially when there are a lot of dices in later levels and all colliders are too big. Nevertheless, i enjoyed playing your game. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Cheers! It was important to me that the dice do more than just be a random number generator.

Thanks for the feedback and playing!

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed the game

Good work ! Graphics are nice but the colliders for the monster and player is a bit too big. I didnt understood the purpose of the blue die tho ! Congrats !

Developer(+1)

Hey! The blue die is where you spawn on each floor. It looks like the colliders of some enemies are a bit oversized, something we can fix in a future release.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks ! :)

The closest we can get to Dungeon Crawler + D&D hybrid. Well done!

Developer

Cheers! Had more ideas about randomising which side the exit spawns and maybe building out multiple rooms per floor - all from dice rolls of course :)

Thanks for playing!

Developer

Thanks for playing. We really appreciate it.

Great mood. I just wish to be faster :D

Developer

Don't we all? :)

Thanks for playing!

nice graphics :) i think the colliders for the bad guys and player could be smaller. it often looks like i died without them touching me

Developer(+1)

I've checked and yeah some of them don't match up with the sprites, sorry about that!

Thanks for playing!

Cool presentation. Having room configuration depend on where/how the dice flop is an interesting concept.

Developer

Cheers! Thanks for playing :)

This game's a pretty neat concept! I especially like how not just the enemies spawned, but also their positions, were determined by the dice roll physics. Plus, the dice roll animation itself is very charming!

My main criticism is with the gameplay balancing: most enemies are killed in one hit, making many rounds very short. And, the player getting killed in one hit is a little too unforgiving in my opinion.

Developer

I like the rapid-fire nature of the floors, it was very much the intent to not be spending minutes and minutes on a floor but yeah game balancing is tricky. We considered adding extra health for some enemies and the player but left it with just the elite beholder requiring multiple hits.

Thanks for playing and the feedback! :)

Developer

If we had more time we would have added more variation to the enemies, dice and rooms to make later levels more interesting. Adjusting balance is hard but I think your right, having more player health and levels would have helped.

Thanks for playing :)

So simple and repayable! Perfect for a game jam

Developer

Thanks for playing!

After the first build of the game we felt it had a very arcade feel to it which we were happy about. Glad you felt the same way :)

Cheers!

I like the quick bursts of action in contrast with calculated gambling, makes for a fun arcade game. A little more depth to the combat would be cool, but feels fine as is and understandable within game jam limits. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah it's interesting that as we started properly playtesting we found that the game asked us to make decisions on when to spend the rerolls and trying to hold on to them for the later floors.

I think we've got a pretty good base here and there's plenty of directions we could go to expand it if and when we put more time in it.

Thanks for playing and the feedback :)

Pretty fun! I liked the atmosphere of the game! Kind of felt like playing dnd

Developer(+1)

We like our D&D so that might have bled through. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Neat concept and nice work on using simulated dice. The actual controls were a little frustrating with slow movement and I got stuck on the door frame in almost every room, lol.

Developer

The door is just part of the challenge hehe. Cheers for the feedback :)

Super fun!! The sprite work and presentation is top notch. I did spawn into a bullet at one point though, haha. Loved it!

Developer

Appreciate it a lot. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Loved the idea of this! The cutesy animation for the beholder gave me the happy too!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words dude:)

Developer

They're supposed to be threatening!  Haha!

Interesting game! Good job :D

Cool concept. It was nice that the game got harder as you went higher in the tower. But for me the game ended after 10 rooms or so and I don't think I got hit by an enemy. I really liked the way the dice were thrown physically, instead of just generating a random number.

I think once the jam is over you could extend on this game with character upgrades and certain dice combinations causing special events.

Developer

Currently you reach "the end" after 10 floors so congrats on making it that far, the only challenge left is beating your score :)

We had lots of ideas, dice to randomise the room, yahtzee-style bonuses, power-ups but in the short time frame we went with something simple. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+3)

Hey! I loved the concept for the game and could see myself playing this for a while trying to reach the highest floor I can.

Great idea with the dice deciding the enemies. It plays out nicely.

Well done!

Developer(+1)

thanks for the kind words, glad your enjoying it.
