Nice idea. I don't get why the bug has wings if he don't even use them.

Also, the spitting could be more accurate. You can't control the spit unlike in SMM2. I think you can spit in a shorter distance when you hold down.

the wings give you a double jump!!!

He don't even use them visually.

Wow I really enjoyed this. I love the Kirby-style vibe of sucking up the dice and rolling them by spitting them back out. You also did a great job with the art and design of the character and king. Plus the music and SFX that you made yourself did a great job of giving the game some extra polish. It was a little annoying to spit a dice at a gate repeatedly just hoping for it to roll the number I need to get by, but otherwise I like the mechanics you had and how you became limited in ways with your sucked up die. Great job!

A bit buggy (pun intended), but cute and seems fun. I kept ending up with dice bouncing and landing on my character, which meant I couldn't jump, but outside of that, it looks good and seems like it would probably be fun if I could get more than a few minutes in. Also, a few times I fell into a pit and respawn inside the pit, only to lose all my hp and have to restart.

Dear slimefriend!

You made really polished and cute platformer! I also like the sound design. I would love to see checkpoints, because I suck at platformers :)

Overall very well done. Keep on jaming!

I'm impressed that you managed to nail this level of game feel in a platformer during a game jam – very nice work. The movement, that squash animation on the jump, the feeling of bouncing on enemies and spitting out the dice? That's some real good stuff right there. Nice work!

Loved that cartoony artstyle!

But the level design is a bit unconfortable: in the first segment where the game tells that you cant jump twice if you have a dice in your mouth, the game is filled with dice enemies and very small space, so it's hard to progress without falling accidentally or softlocking by trowing a dice to the pit.

Interesting mechanics, though.

Nice little game! The art and music are really charming and you did a great job of explaining the mechanics as you go. There were definitely some cool interactions like putting dashing and eating on the same button and giving extra jump height when you jump on dice.

It would have been nice to have some kind of checkpoint system, since occasionally you get the game in an unwinnable state (like having a die balanced on your head). With fairly slow player movement, it takes a while to get back to where you left off.

Love the squash-stretch on the player character and the bouncy gates. Would loved to have seen a version with a boss fight that involves spitting the right dice at him, but I’m sure that’s not reasonable to fit in to 48 hours.

Great job, and good luck for the rest of the rating period!

this is a very good idea and is also really well made.  The fact that you had to roll the dice and get the number of the gate added an extra level of depth to the game. The music was on point with the game and the art was beautiful. The parralax in the background also added visual depth. Maybe you could specify to the player that u needed to kill the die first as at the begginning i kept dashing into them and getting killed. I guess there was a goomba like visual queue but im kinda dumb lol.

Interesting Idea !

I think the artstyle and the music are well done! One thing that frustrated me a bit was that there was no way to reset a mistake. For example, when I accidentally pushed a cube into a pit then there was no way to retrieve it and progress. Then I had to start again from the beginning. That felt like too much of a punishment.

The jump mechanics didnt quite work for me. But pretty cool music and art

The jump mechanics need some tuning, but a great concept overall!

It turned out very spectacular, at first I did not understand how to eat a cube

Liked the artstyle!

Phenomenal game, Visual, Audio , Gameplay everything is perfect,

use of theme is little bit low I guess,

I have rated this game,

Really nice game with amazing graphics, only complaint is that sometimes the jump was a little finicky, you had to make really frustrating jumps sometimes, especially during double jump parts. That being said, I'm also really bad at platformers, so that may've been a me problem. Good job!

Nice job! Loved the art and music! The die sometimes behaved a bit strangely, but other than that this is really great!
