extremely polished execution of the idea, but i didn't like that it felt that it relied really hard on rng sometimes but maybe that's a skill issue on my part. game looks great and you can get so much content out of only a 2 day project/idea which is insane. otherwise i guess you already know about the jam glitch haha
Superbly well-made. However, I'm not really sure the gameplay is actually super deep. I feel like the game is super RNG based, and I can go for a while pretty comfortably until my system gets screwed up and I'm just kinda screwed. Like I can weasel a couple more rounds in after it goes to shit, but the substantial part of my points comes from how long I can go without the system getting screwed up, which feels like RNG. This is a really critical post lol, but I only got so in the weeds because the game is so great. Really simple idea executed very well -- the kind of thing I wish I'd have thought of. Great work! Just maybe it needs another mechanic to really deepen it a bit.
Thanks for playing!
The RNG is a fair criticism... in the original idea, there was a mechanism for the player to reroll their dice. The thinking was that the player would have a limited number of chances to mitigate their bad luck., and they could earn more chances by doing something impressive (e.g. clearing the entire board, clearing a row and column at the same time, etc). Unfortunately, it got cut from the scope in order to meet the deadline!
Amazing work on this. Love the mechanics in play and how they all coalesce well together. All the game really needs is an undo button and you could sell it as is lol. Presentation is extremely tight, simple and to the point. Really don't have any complaints apart from things relying a little too heavily on rng. Apart from that though, phenomenal work on this entry
This is a 5 star game if I've ever seen one
My favorite game of the jam so far!! A really simple concept executed quite perfectly, this game feels so polished and really hooked into my brain, I wanted to try it on every difficulty level! Excellent work.
Great puzzle design that's deceptively simple on the surface but contains a surprising amount of depth. Incredibly well-themed and polished as well. Excellent work!
Smooth gameplay with great level of polish. Awesome work and what a clever idea!
Really good game, I love the twist on the match genre, and i think the game looks stunning visually. I have played way more rounds than i initially intended. This game could go out into the world as a complete product tomorrow and i would happily download it.
Very good game. Visually pleasing and amazing music! My only complaint is regarding some colors, it gets a bit hard for color blind people. But that's about it. Congratulations!
Thanks for playing!
That is a really fair criticism - in the post jam update, I'll have to make some changes to make it more accessible for color blind players. I can think of a few different solutions, from adding colorblind-friendly palettes, or using symbols rather than colors as a matching property, but I'm not sure which is most useful? Do you have any recommendations?
I really enjoyed this game. I kept going one more round. Saw it on the GMTK stream. Also it fits the topic really well.
Great concept, presentation and implementation, I've been playing it for an hour now. Amazing job doing it within a 48 hour jam.
Edit: after playing it even more, I found a small bug: When you place a dice to complete a line, it doesn't reassess the game board and can tell you you've lost, even though there is a valid move available with the new space you've cleared.
Thanks for playing! Thanks also for the bug report! There's an annoying timing bug in the main state machine - I've fixed it, and will release an update as soon as the jam is over!
Amazing puzzle game, Makes good use of Dice (and dominoes) ! The art work is beautiful as well.
Great work!
What a nice game. My high score for hard: 120
Very fun and addictive. Favorite game of the jam.
Great job! This game is fun and very polished! I could totally see this being a fun little mobile game.
It's great to see a solid concept executed perfectly. This is an awesome game, congrats!
So incredibly polished! Glad I caught Mark play this one on stream. This is one of the cleanist concepts and executions I've seen so far this jam. Excellent work!
One of the best entries I've played so far. Game was fairly well polished and I liked the idea behind it. Well done.
