Nice art. The idea that you never know how many steps you have was a bit frustrating sometimes since it meant losing lives over sometjing I didn’t have control over but still I enjoyed teh game very much.

Dude, I just love the sound effects, they're amazing. Made me smile right away. Also the music track just made me walk to the beat right away, I guess that's where your title comes from ;). Really nicely made, good job!

very cool idea! I like how it still gives a lot of control to the player, and also that certain dice rolls aren't always better or worse than others (it's situational). Oh yea and the sound effects are funny!

Great game, I especially loved the sound effects

I really liked this game! I loved the pixel art and the overall colors, and the gameplay as well :)
Can I ask you to give our game a review? We are stuck into "low-ratings hell" :')

Thanks for the review.

This is really great! The randomness is actually very well done: it's an input to what basically is a little puzzle and the one-attack rule makes it pretty uniform! I would maybe like it if the wizards couldn't shoot though high terrain, that would make it more cohesive, but just a detail.
I'm impressed, great job! Sound effects hilarious, as many have mentioned :D.
PS: The cover looks AI-generated, is that so?

Hi Tonyl!

Thanks the great feedback. We really appreciate it.

And yes you guessed right we had a little fun with Midjourney AI, hence the oddly uncanney dice like shape that is not really a dice ^^.

The sound design was the best part of the game.
Seriously though : really fun!

Wish the tutorial explained how enemies worked, but you figure it out by being murdered.

Very solid gameplay and fun!

This is a very fun game. It's pretty simple, but it keeps the player invested. The undo button is really awesome and avoids the player to get stuck. I loved the art and SFX. Overall it's a pretty solid game. Congrats!

Submitted(+1)

Haha the SFX are great 😄

really cute! loved the idea of having to adapt on the fly to what the die rolls

Honestly, pretty great game! I would love maybe like a character / opponent summary, to let us know their strengths and weaknesses, but overall great game!

Nice! I think this could have some potential as a tactical game. Gameplay was intuitive and well skinned.

I really enjoyed the overall feel of the game, it felt like a nice little tactical game I could wrap my head around just by playing. I did find the text a bit hard to read, and as others said the voices were a little repetitive but overall I thought it was a really well put together project!

Developer

Thank you for your valuable feedback.  Regarding the text, was it because it was too small, or a general font issue, or else?

And yes as you said the voices are a bit few (lack of time indeed) and will definitely get an upgrade if we get more time to polish the game.

Submitted

I think it's mostly a font issue, the game's kind of all-caps lower case letters with serifs style kinda hurts readability a bit in my opinion. It's not anything too detrimental to the gameplay really but that's one thing that stuck out to me

Developer

You're probably right. My GF (who is a UI designer) would have killed me if she knew I was using an all caps font haha. Either way thanks again for the feedback

I like the simple way you adapt this kind of game to theme. Love the music, sounds effects need some variations (pitch for example). Good work.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. The pitching is a good trick I didn't think of. I'll definitely use it next time around to get some quick variation for cheap :)

Submitted

The music and sound effects were a little grating, but overall a nice concept!

Developer

Sorry you did not enjoy the music and sound effect. We initially thought these would be cute and funny but seems like it wasn't to everyone tastes. Perhaps the issue is in the lack of variety? If so we will very likely add some with more time ;)

Submitted

the voices were cute but got annoying pretty quick...

The game was fun though! Very tactical. I killed myself on 3 seperate occasions entering a new level and pressing enter immediately, but other than that it was fun lol

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. With a bit more time we surely could add a few more variations on the SFX to make less annoying.

As of the killing yourself on entering the level, I am afraid I did not get time to test the key debounce. It's valuable feedback and I'll make sure to fix this in future iterations :)

Rather well made. Also rather hard. I did find myself wanting to kill more than one unit per turn though.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback. The number of attacks per turn was indeed a tough design decision. But we realized that allowing for only one attack made for a tougher challenge. Maybe too tough then? We may revisit this decision if we extend the concept :)

I was wondering why the title would at all relate to that game when there's a lot of grid-based dungeon crawlers, but this really did remind me a lot of the weird dance steps you have to do just to align yourself with skeletons. I like the movement die and even getting screwed over is kinda funny. Good job!

Really fun game! I thought it was really easy to read enemies and felt I quickly understood how the gameplay works, making it wonderfully satisfying to play!

Fantastic work
