How does your game fit the theme?
The shape of the dice and the numbers on its faces inspired us to create a unique control scheme for platform game. The side of the cube that the hero lands on when spawning determines even the forward button, making every attempt randomly different.

Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 48 hours?

No

We used pre-existing art

Did your team create the vast majority of the music during the 48 hours?

Yes

We created the vast majority of the music during the game jam

After I got used to the controls this was an amazing experience! Very interest gameplay design and gorgeous presentation.

This was a really fun game. Reminds me of other games like QWOP or Get Over It! Really good job!

The controls are really interesting! They really create a feeling of tension even when all you're doing is moving along a line. I also like how each face has its own tone, which is especially cool when you're going along a straight path and the pattern repeats

Developer(+1)

I am very happy you noticed the tones for dice faces <3
Thanks for your feedback!

Well made game! And it fits the theme nicely.

Great visual, but even greater gameplay ! I was a bit dubious at first, but then I was getting faster and faster and realized I could jump above 2 cases for shortcuts ! And then snowy mountains totally throw me off. :D

Very good game, I could picture people speedruning it. :D

Developer(+3)

Thanks for the great feedback!
We will definitely make game more speedrun-friendly when the voting is over :D

It is interesting how all the sides of the dice connect to each other, creating control patterns we were never really considering designing the game. Like "Jump through 1 pit" is nothing but [top of dice]- [front of dice] -[that old top of dice] making it a temporary memory Macros (okay, 5-6-5 and that pit is done).

Neat idea! My brain was struggling playing this game, but it's fun :) Also it's kinda hard to understand which number is on the back side of the dice, it's the most challenging part.

Developer (1 edit) (+3)

Thanks!
We made a design decision to never show the back sides of the dice, leaving it up to player's math skills. The hidden side is always equals 7 − [front side]. Dice magic as it is :)

Great visuals and sound. I like how the game has simple controls but is very challenging. Great job!

Submitted(+4)

Pretty fun, but the timing on the jump could be a little more lenient. Game doesn't feel like it responds how I'd expect when the dice is in the air. Once I got the hang of the controls it's pretty cool

Developer(+2)

Thanks for your feedback!
The smoothness of jump and dice movement is already in To Do List after the voting period :3

I love`d isometric art and style, nice work!

turned out to be much more complicated than it seemed ...🤩

beautiful art and very hard game! I wish you could see from other angles.

Submitted(+4)

Very cool! I had to look at real dice for reference of another side though lol

Developer(+2)

That's definitely a solution! Real life cheats are real :D
Thanks for feedback!

Very cool gameplay concept! I don't think I've seen anyone use movement like that! If there's an easy way we could see the number on the other side of the dice, that could make the readability even better. Maybe when you hover your mouse over the dice, it can turn translucent?

Developer(+3)

We really did thought about the ways we can communicate all the numbers on the sides to the player. But we discarded them, as we tried to engage player in real-time calculating of needed invisible sides using the visible ones.

With more playtesting in the future we will try different approaches to make it less frustrating and more fun!

Thanks for your feedback! It really means a lot!

This project makes you think about the basic mechanics of walking. But the game creates fun at the same time.

Game is unique. It certainly takes a while to master the controls but once you get the hang of it, it's very satisfying. I think if I could see from different angles it'd make it a little quicker/easier to play.

Submitted(+5)

Really cool concept for the controls, a little difficult at first but very rewarding once you get the hang of it. Nice job!

Submitted(+5)

The main mechanic was satisfying to master and the game is very polished with sound and art. Great game :D.

Very Creative concept. The controls are hard at first but its so unqiue that it makes you think while playing the game and once you master the controls it gives you a sense of accomplishment . The music is nice and enjoyable and the art is good. Its pretty polished for only being made in 48 hours. Great job!

wow amazing

Submitted(+6)

Neat take on making the challenge in the controls. Satisfying to get a grasp on them.

Developer(+2)

Getting used to all the new mechanics people came up with is truly amazing! Just like with the Berb Hike <3
Thanks for feedback!!
