5/5 game. Really. Graphics are so amazing, The gameplay is so clean, Idea is well thought. Overall a neat package. Good job!
thank you so much for playing!!
The aesthetic of this game is absolutley wonderful! Feels good to play and is jus ta good time overall, great job! :D
glad to hear you had a good time! thanks for playing!
This is amazing! The whole game show vibe with deck building elements is brilliant. The overall aesthetic is super soothing on the eyes too. I wish you could rotate the dice during the building phase though , It would make planning your route a lot easier!
thanks for the feedback and playing our game!! really appreciate it!!
Nice execution! The sounds and graphics seem very professional and are fun to toy with. I was quite confused about which face was used in each battle, but once that’s clear it’s a fun mental challenge trying to optimize each stage
it need a proper tutorial ideed! thanks for playing!
I know how the game works, but I hate to think a lot while playing games.
Most of these levels in game I can pass with all faces having the same face, because of the plenty of health it has and I find it very assisting.
The visual and animation looks very cool.
we should ramp the difficulty indeed! thanks for the feedback and for playing!
But its good to let the player see everything of the game. Espesially in gamejam where there are 6000 games and a player stopped by and unfortunately not skilled enough to progress to see everything of this game and they would left with opinion of 50% gameplay progress.
Simple and creative concept with great execution. I enjoyed the smooth visuals, only thing is I wish the difficulty curve was a bit higher (and along with other people, I learnt I could set my die to 1 option if I would only lose 4 or less fights on the path to the end)
nooo dont cheese our game! hahah you are right, we didnt had time to balance the difficulty
thanks for the kind words and for playing!
Nice work! I love the gameplay, feels chaotic but fun
thanks you so much for playing! <3
great game. I enjoyed thoroughly although I basically broke the game by making my dice have one symbol on all faces and took the path of least resistance. I finished the game is just over 6 minutes that way. the game needs to be a bit more challenging. still, very enjoyable.
true, we need to balance difficulty! thanks for the feedback and for playing!
This is a great take on the I-roll-a-dice-around-the-world-to-get-to-the-end-games and I think, it gets even better because you can design the dice yourself. I had fun playing it and hope you had fun creating it.
we did have a lot of fun! thanks you for playing!
Really clever, amazing how it could be done so fast.
thank you very much for playing!
The game was fun and by far the most creative of the "roll a die around" games, the graphics were great, and the general presentation was amazing!
happy to hear you had fun! thanks for playing <3
This is a super creative concept, and some of the best presentation I've seen in the jam! Definitely stands out from most of the other "roll the dice around" games.
Unfortunately the game took me way too long to get the hang of. I played through the first few stages thinking that the rock-paper-scissors matchup was using the *bottom* face of your die (which seems more intuitive to me personally, since those faces are physically in contact with one another) so I was really confused as to why it wasn't working the way I intended (the title screen doesn't specify that it's the *top* face used for matchup.) Additionally, the way the cross pattern is arranged, it makes it look like the "front" face is the face facing towards you, when in actuality it's the face to your right? The designer has the board tilted 90 degrees from what the cross displays.
Even once I did understand how to play, the level of spatial awareness necessary to properly plan out your dice is quite demanding. I wonder if there's a better way to visually represent the dice plan. I think having the cross mapped to a cube that you can turn around in real time while building your plan would help a ton. Also I feel the amount of hearts you get trivializes the game, as you can usually brute-force your way through a level even if, like me, you don't even fully understand how to play :P
I know that sounds like a lot of criticism, but I really do like this! My problems with it are purely in the way information is conveyed to the player. I think with a few tweaks in that regard, this could be a really solid puzzle game!
constructive feedback its greatly appreciated! thank you very much for taking your time on your review!!
Right, this game is clearly very well made.
However, I'm a complete moron and couldn't get the dice in the right sequence.
Loads of these "turnover" style games. I like the take on this one!
hahaha some people just brute forced their way! thanks for playing!!
Easily one of the most interesting takes on the theme I've seen yet. Plus, you nailed the aesthetic. Really good job, man!
thank you very much for the kind words and for playing our game!!
very cool concept!
thanks for playing!!
very cool game and concept! it was a bit hard to understand which faces were pointing where at the start, but i figured it out eventually. one other thing to note is i was able to beat almost every single level without changing my dice at all haha. amazing work tho!
its true, we need a tutorial and to adjust difficulty! thanks for playing!
Very close to being perfect! I love the concept.
The only two issues I had were:
But, apart from that, it's awesome! The art, the sounds, the concept, the feedback, etc... It's an excellent puzzle game submission! =D
thank you very much for the detailed feedback! we didnt had time to balance difficulty but you are completly right!
thanks for playing!
Smart Idea!
I enjoyed it a lot, was a little tough to plan throughout the whole level, but really neat game!
very happy to hear you had fun! thanks for playing!
I would put fewer lives on it. It was very entertaining, playing it.
thought the same thing but didnt want to make too dificult! Thank you very much for playing!
I think maybe there were too many lives or the levels too short?
I played through all 16 levels, and with the exception of level 10, all of them could be solved by just checking which type there is fewest of and then choosing all sides to be whatever is weakest against that one. So if there are only three rocks in the way, just choose all scissors sides and you’ve already solved the level.
I like the general idea though, and I think I would probably have enjoyed it more if it was with just one life or some other reward for being more careful (maybe count total lives lost instead of time and moves?).
The presentation is really nice. Clever and cool way to present the “map” from above then transition into gameplay. It was a bit hard to know which way was the “front”, maybe add some arrows to the map view to show which way is what?
The controls also work really well (much better than tilted keyboard keys).
Well done :)
you are right, difficulty needs to ramp up!
thanks a lot for the feedback and playing our game!!
