Nice work on this submission, I managed to survive for just under 3 minutes! The movement felt good and snappy! I would say adding some variability and juice to the game would make it that much better. I also agree that some of the enemies seem overpowered so maybe dialing them back a little bit would be good. Overall, love the concept and nice job making an enjoyable game for the jam :)
Nice shooter! I liked the music very much. The progression system feels nice, although I'm not sure how much the enemies get stronger. I was taken aback by how much damage they deal! I felt confident with 70HP, haven't being hit once, then I died very quickly when assaulted by a few big zombies.
I survived for 03:29. I even saw and defeated a boss, which felt great! The game can get a bit repetitive though, as it is not much challenging for a long period, and suddenly it becomes intense in a few seconds and kill the player instantly. I don't know if this is so much a balance issue, maybe it's also that the mechanics is mostly "shoot, run, and wait until the next upgrade"? Maybe more challenging enemies right at the beginning, that demand to react quickly, could break this routine.
Still, I had fun playing it and reaching the score I did. Good job!
Overall a really nice game! The music was pleasant and really fit together nicely with the graphic style. Potentially a few things to look at: You can currently run faster diagonally, shooting requires you to tilt your body slightly, and the damage seems to tick up quite quickly as well.
VERY solid game! I kinda got into this state of playing where everything else around me kinda slowed down. I had so much fun! The movement is quick and snappy and also the SFX is nice too! Amazing entry ^^
Fun shooter! I like the way the upgrade systems work, always making you make a decision of the value of each upgrade. The Increase luck upgrade I think shouldn't have the distinction of first roll/rerolls because it makes either always rerolling or never rerolling optimal.
I got up to 3:55 in the game and was enjoying it the whole time.
Great game! Movement and shooting are very fluid and enjoyable!
Pretty fun! The mechanics work well together with choosing whether or not to reroll and what to invest points in. I was expecting an infinite map so running into a wall felt weird and I died shortly after due to being cornered. Health seems a bit too underpowered compared to the other three currently since regen seems to be really quick so maybe a slight buff on that would make them more balanced.
Fun shooter! I liked the choices of upgrades I was given
Very cool game! I liked the simple but fitting artstyle and the whole ambience! Overall a pretty nice game, good job!
What is weird in this game is that the gameplay is simple, graphics are not really fancy, the song is a bit repetitive and it lacks of VFX/feedbacks... but all of these sticks very well together and keep you hypnotised during the entire run ! I really enjoyed the game and I played twice going to 5:00 and 6:00.
This means that if you improve the visual and juice of your game it would be very addictive !
Nice game and cool graphics. I got 2:02. During the gameplay unfortunately I had difficulties of orientation because the map is kinda the same. But overall the game is really enjoyable and has a nice concept.
I got 3:08. Up to the point I died I wasn't sure what the goal was. Turns out it's don't die xD. Anyhow, if I were to give this feedback, I would suggest to do a little bit more with the environment. Either make a maze or keep it simple, but at least have some structures that will give you an idea of where you are in world. Knowing where you have and haven't been would make exploaration and the search for dice a bit more fun I feel.
4-3-4. upgrade system is nicely done, the presentation isn't beautiful but more importantly functional and clear. It would've been nice if you added a bit more variety gameplay-wise though.
Great game! I really enjoyed playing this, the stat increases added a lot of strategy and made it a lot of fun to try and optimize the best way to survive. I think this could definitely be added on to a lot post jam, like adding different enemies and weapons. Great job again, thanks for sharing!
Fun game, difficulty ramps up fast, but it seems well balanced to force a little strategy in decision making. I think only time constraints stopped this game being even more fun, I'm sure you already know to add some game juice to bring it up!
That was a fun little twin-stick shooter. I liked how all of the different stats mattered and there was a trade-off between which ones to spend your rolls on. I was dumping everything in damage, but then those super fast ones showed up and I had to adjust my strategy. Some other commenters have mentioned this, but I think a little more feedback in the UI and game elements would've made the whole thing feel a lot nicer. Like, knowing when I'm hit, when I hit an enemy, that sort of thing.
Got to 5:04. Anyone that can beat that?
its true I got the screenshot, just how
This is a really neat shoot em up! Movement, shooting and the gameplay loop in general all felt great! The ability to boost your luck was very clever and fit the game perfectly! Some banging music as well and this was quite a hit!
Great work! :D
Like someone else already said, this game needs some juice! Other than that, nothing majorly wrong this entry. Well done!
Cool game! I like the concept very much! I think with a little more UI and some more art, you will have a great game already set for release on app stores!
BEST OF LUCK:)
