Very funny, it's something every player of board game would want to do at some point...
I find the UX is a bit strange at first, but once you understand how to attack it's so cool !
Really awesome 3D modeling work, and I love the concept for the game. Whenever I play D&D I always want to roll the dice into the minis for damage!
The art is amazingly well done!!
This reminds me of a ps2 game I used to play with my dad, I can't remember the name and please take this as a compliment! Felt very personal the game is really satisfying and fun especially rolling the dice on the physical board!
Goodjob!
Nice little good looking tactical game, really enjoyed testing it! It seemed quite hard though.
Good job!
Love the board!! Everything looks so good!! Clearly needs some polish, but this is great! Wonderful work!!
Liech,
Your use of characters on a board in physical space is very satisfying! I really enjoyed chucking my dice at the enemies to try and knock them over while playing.
The enemies could perhaps have some clearer indications to how far they can go or attack, and the sound fx kinda confused me in regards to what was happening on my turns.
Overall though, I think that having your character like little toys on a game board gives this a super unique feel. Great job!
Mastered all levels. It was fun, nice job!
lol when I discovered the hidden mechanic!!
+ great name!!
This is a great strategy game that reminds me of some of the best board games. Also the visual presentation is great. Overall an amazing game
Dear Liech!
Your game was fun. I felt like a little kid playing tabletop wargame against an adult. Attacking his figures literally with my dice! I would also like to say - well done on the visual design!
Keep having fun on game jams!
I liked the idea and the presentation of the game, the only thing that bothered me a little was the animations were a little slow. a good idea maybe, instead of doing 6 repeated attack animations when we roll 6 on the die, make an animation of a stronger attack, this way it would save time but keep the feeling that you had a nice attack or suffered an attack very strong lol.
but you did a good job, congratulations!
if you have a little time, check out my game too, I'd love your feedback! thanks
I agree with you. The animations would need some love. But the damage animation is not blocking anything. You can play on while it happens. And the ai will do this, which sometimes looks hilarious.
Thanks for playing :)
oh, nice. I hadn't noticed that and kept waiting lol
Hah interesting. Like the 3d a lot.
Funny idea, and it works surprisingly well
Really cool idea, tho I only got it by looking at the comments. Even knowing about the gimmick, it was a bit hard
Haha this is so silly. the controls were a little hard to get used to but the presentation was steller. Great job on the design and idea. I would love some larger text for things but I got the hang of it I think.
Felt very nostalgic of a game I've never played. I like the gimmick required to win and keeping a bit of a learning curve to it. Took me a minute to figure it all out. A little more control over positioning at the table might be nice, but if you check out my game you'll see why I don't have much room to talk when it comes to cameras haha.
This seems like it would be a great mini game in a larger project. Something good where you could be making a point about how cheating sometimes is just what you have to do if all you want to do is win. Especially when the stakes have been set so out of favor, idk.
Fun concept.
You have full controll in positioning your camera on the table. Its just that the camera controls are stupid :D
The time was close and for the camera i used a very good asset and massacered it into something were you have to keep rightclick pressed to navigate with wasd.
Gotcha, maybe I'll give it another try with that in mind. Still pretty fun overall. I could see a DnD sorta game using mechanics like this and having a really fun narrative.
Very silly! The idea of dropping dice on the enemies was pretty cleaver took me 2 deaths to realize that was what I was supposed to be doing though.
Very cool game! The concept is super clever and i love the art style, i can only imagine what you could have done with a little more time. Keep it up man!
also, if you have time, i'd really like to get some feedback on my game too!
Difficulty curve seems a bit steep, need to get very lucky to beat level two, otherwise good job. Love that you can zoom out of the world with the camera haha
Yes, levels between 1 and 2 are missing for time reasons. Level 1 was teaching the basic concept. Level 2 for teaching the real basic concepts and Level 3 to have fun.
With more opponent model variety (and time) we could have done one level where you have to block a choke point with your dice (because the opponent can't fall over and is to strong in melee for your archer) and one where the opponent has infinite life and must be knocked over. This would have teached the concepts necessary for lvl2.
Maybe also something where you are taugth that you have to place the camera correct to roll the dice precisly.
Personally i like things that are difficult though.
I don't mind some difficulty in the games I play, it was just that going from 1v1 to 4v2 felt a bit too much. But if the levels disappeared when exporting that makes sense, just unlucky that it would happen to the final version :(
No, no. There was nothing lost (besides a lot of soundwork and a html version)
If there had been enough time these levels would have been added.
