This game was quite evocative in more way than one. But I think this one really stuck out and I did quite enjoy it! Played at https://twitch.tv/hedgein <3

Big fish big spook I like it.

Good scare, I was expecting worse at the end. Made me want to make a horror game.

Nice game :)

You should do the direction for a horror game honestly. 2-4-4

Not gonna spoil what happens in this game, but man.... it was intense. Had a great time playing till the end. Nice entry into a 2-day jam

Nicely done with the ambience and the mystery, the dice as a distraction to boredom and then oddities creeping in was a nice touch on the theme <3

I really do NOT appreciate this sort of game. You can easily betray the trust of players, especially in a game jam, when you pull things like that, especially with the super high volume.

The build up of tension and the story up until the end was really well done, but that ending was upsetting and ruined the experience for me.

I know I'm not the target audience, but this sort of game feature needs to be something that players opt into, not happen upon in a game jam.

Still, congrats on your first game jam and submitting something. I just wish I could have enjoyed it more.

I hate Horror Games. So this was a very good example for why i hate them. Really good job. Especially Art Style and Presentation were really nice. And to think it was just made by two people. Really really impressive.

I have never been more scared in my life, no man should have a 200k triangle fish

Really impressive ambience. My favourite part was the little noises that kept triggering - it kept me on edge the whole time.

Horror games stress me out, so I know yours was a good one because I was nervous. Great job!

Absolutely made me jump! Was very intense rolling the dice and certain things kept happening. Loved it, you created a great tense game

Really creative game!

I really love how the "Roll of the Dice" theme was interpreted here, as rolling the dice is merely a means to distract you for a while. Really clever!

I got stuck randomly two times, but after like 15 seconds I got unstuck, so that needs some fixing : P

The atmosphere is really great though, I got startled quite a bit.

The environment you created was pretty cool! definitely was a bit spooky. I wasn't sure what to do after the leak started happening though. I pressed E and then nothing seemed to happen. Rolling the dice and watching the number change was eerie. The fish is strange. Maybe I ran into a bug. I liked the atmosphere a lot!

You need to press E on the red wheel in the fuel event, we should have made that more clear

Rolling the 1 made my heart skip a beat lol. Couldn’t figure out what I needed to interact with once the problem in electrical came up, but really cool ambiance. Nice job.

We also noticed that the interaction in the electrial event was a bit strange, but it should work if you press E when looking at the source of the sparks, otherwise just spam E in that general area

Hey, just finished it; first game from this game jam that I test (except for mine, of course!).

Some things I liked:

  • Funny music. Had me tapping my foot. XD It gives an ironic feel that somehow reminded me of Portal and the like (a technological environment with little funny mundane details).
  • Nice architecture/structure; even though the models are not yours, you made a well laid out ship.
  • Nice ambiance, including triggering some nearby sounds when throwing the die.
  • The way you used the theme is funny.

Miscellaneous observations:

  • As in now quite some games I played in other game jams, the controls were made for QWERTY but not AZERTY, for example; I do not know how Unity handles this, but generally, there is a way to get the physical keys rather than the symbolic ones. Thankfully, you also enabled the arrow keys!
  • I know it’s a detail, but maybe subtitles could be useful, especially for non-native English speakers. (I am not an English native speaker by the way, but I understood. :p)
  • Why did you choose Space for playing die but E for other interactions, instead of just the same key for everything?
  • At least the second time I played (because I failed on purpose the life support task to see what would happen :p) and also when restarting the game, in the introduction, the voice said ‘infinite’ (as she does a bit later) after ‘timeout’: maybe a mistake? Or maybe I did not hear the line well.
  • BUG: after the game over, when I played again, Space did not respond anymore to throw the die.

It was a funny cosy experience, but as a game, I felt it was more of some interactive narration rather than a proper challenge to the player. I will remember the weird ‘cosy science-fiction’ feel, though. :)

Spoiler: you made me jump, this was underhand. XD But I guess that means it was a success, so good job with that (although these kinds of jokes always make me worry about heart-attack-prone people).

Thank you :D, nice to hear some criticism in case we decide to develop the game some more
