Congratulations on 1st place! Super original and really fun, it is very well deserved! :D
Lovely art, super unique concept, an altogether solid experience! Great work :-)
Thanks for the feedback and for streaming :)
a really great game! the mechanics are as simple as they can be, and yet, they are unique, and work well together! i would love to see more levels in the future.
Thanks, yeah I tried to make the game as simple as possible so I didn’t need a tutorial. I may add some levels in after the jam is over.
My dream is to one day make a simple level editor so other people can design levels and I don’t have to 😄
That's a great idea, good luck with that ^^
One of the strongest games in the jam so far. I can easily see this becoming a full-fledged game. The mechanics were unique and introduced without having to tutorialised making it super accessible. Really dug the peaceful music choice and sfx. In fact probably the best combination of music and sfx in the jam I've seen so far. Also the perfect amount of levels for a jam. You should be proud MrBundles
Thanks I appreciate the very kind feedback 🙂
I’ve never actually expanded on any of my previous jam games but this may be the first.
Good luck with the jam!
Lol I'm such a sucker for leaderboards and speedrunners. I absolutely loved this
Wow, just checked the leaderboard. I have no idea how you and the other top runners are finishing the levels so fast.
You’re better at my game than I am 😄
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved it. I feel like game jams are a tough place to tell a story, and your ending/music was a superb way to have an emotional send-off. This is the start of something I could see being on Gamepass!
Thanks, yeah I’ve never made an ending for one of my games before and I was happy with how this one turned out.
Glad you liked it. The feedback is appreciated 🙂
Theme: Pretty good, not the best theme this jam tho imo so I'm not sure what a great interpretation would be.
Fun: The movement was very polished! I do wish there were more levels and more complicated puzzles it felt pretty easy, but I get that it wasn't possible in the time of the jam.
Controls: They were pretty normal.
Graphics: All of the art is really clean, I really like the look of the house at the end.
Audio: Music is nice! I wish the SFX were louder or the music was quieter but it was hard to hear the SFX when the music sounded nice (I know this is pretty nitpicky)
Accessibility: I don't see much focus on accessibility.
Originality: The movement is very original it's like a platformer but you stick to the wall.
Overall: Really great polished game!
Thank you for the very thorough feedback. Glad you enjoyed the game, good luck with the jam!
Gotta love multi limbed creatures that grab with all their extremities. Very nice simple graphics too!
Thanks! I’m primarily a programmer so simple graphics are all I can handle :D
This was such a fun game - really polished and such a cute ending :)
Thanks! Glad you liked the ending :)
I enjoyed this immensely. Great pacing of the introduction to each mechanic. Excellent design. It took me some time, but I made it to the end scene.
Glad you made it to the end. I almost didn’t include the last few difficult levels because I wanted everyone to get to see the end. But I figured I’d leave them in and the end would be a satisfying sort of “reward” :)
Thanks for the feedback, and good luck with the jam!
Cute little platformer. I find the stick mechanics quite refreshing. The overall art style is polished and the music is very relaxing : good job ! My only complain would be that the hit-boxes can sometimes be a bit unforgiving.
Yeah, I myself can barely stand the last few levels when I’m trying to rush. Thanks for the feedback, I’m glad you enjoyed it :)
The time when the monster from Carrion was a good creature.
5 stars for sure
Yeah, I was thinking about that while I was making him :D
Funnily enough I started out trying to make an ant that walked procedurally and then just added a bunch of legs for fun and decided to keep it.
Really polished, well done. I made it to the end (in the window) and submitted my score (time I'm guessing) but wasn't good enough to make the top 5. Perhaps more could be shown? :)
Some part of the platforming were frustrating, but its going to be tough because this not a common movement style. Maybe not instantly returning to the start of a level would be an idea.. hard to know.
I think it's really unique to have a platform game with no jump or hook shot mechanic. Bouncing on the yellow parts was particularly clever I thought.
Overall super polished and great submission, well done!
Glad you enjoyed the game, thank you for the kind feedback. And yeah, the platforming was definitely in need of some tuning :D
The score only updates every 60 seconds (I think) and I believe the game should show the top 10 scores on the leaderboard.
Amazing game - everything from controls to UI just feels so smooth and well-polished, and it is very fun to play too!
The idea is quite original in the first place, and I love how subtly and effectively mechanics are introduced by level design only. The ending is adorable :)
Great work!
Thanks! Glad you liked the ending.
The secret to subtle mechanic introduction is to hate making tutorials :D
Thanks for the feedback, good luck with the jam!
this game is definitely well done, very polished, very good idea, it's just great, the graphics and music are really good and the puzzles are growing at a good pace, the ending is the best without a doubt, 10/10 very good job !
Thanks, glad you liked the ending! This is the first game of mine to actually have a somewhat proper conclusion :D
I tried to do the same xD Good Job!
Pretty original, love it
Whoa, that thing will give me nightmares, but I still want to cuddle it...hmmm
Beautiful game. The sound effects and the way the character's legs worked was so satisfying. Everything had incredible polish, and the ending was beautiful. The difficulty was in a perfect spot for me.
Great job!
I loved the SFX, and really atmospheric music, I liked how you made it so that the song naturally ends when the game does. I also enjoyed the tentacle thingies effect. The gameplay starts out easy but it gets interesting by the end. The visuals are simple but cute. Good game!
Glad you enjoyed it! I actually didn’t choreograph the music to the end of the game so that must have just been a happy accident :D
