The fluid movement of this game has everyone sold, and I am no different. You are, indeed, the favorite in this jam to earn top prize, and you will have earned it.
Very well done to this team.
Simple, super fun and straightfoward! well done!!
I admire the minimalism of the game, although it looks simple, there are so many mechanics with the cat jumping. May I know how much time you spent creating the cat control?
Thanks! It took around 3-4 days to get it all working, then bug fixing and playtesting for the rest of it. In total maybe 30hrs. Most of the levels and visuals were done by @ZeeHatcher.
I'm a sucker for movement that feels this good :D
the movement feels incredibly good and fast-paced, perfect for a cat platformer :) really nice minimalist art style and sound. the cat laying down when idle is so cute <3
some of the levels are a bit challenging, but that's the fun part! it kinda gives celeste-y vibes in a way. really nice submission, i absolutely understand why it's so popular on the discord lol
thanks! it needs rest from all that running lol. the popularity took us by surprise. glad to hear the difficulty felt good, it's difficult to cater to a wide audience
Very fun! I suck and platformers and usually find them frustrating, but I had such a blast playing this I even tried it again to improve my time (2:32 is best I could do). Controls feel very intuitive and the game is really well made!
Only sad thing is that I didn't participate in this jam so I can't vote for your submission, but it was really good!
Clean visuals. Very fun movement. Was a lot of fun!
Clean! Very fun movement mechanics and great level design. Well done!
Really fun little game!
I'm pretty terrible at it, but! That doesn't change the fact that it is super responsive and really well done. Excellent job you two!
This was a lot of fun. Gameplay was smooth and the relaxing music really sets the atmosphere. The minimalistic graphics are really well done and deserve praise. Its amazing how just having a little bit of drop shadow really improves basic shapes.
I appreciate the accessibility controls offering some options to make it easier as well as having a good tutorial to ramp up difficulty.
Brilliant game! Tutorial was great, learning curve was spot on, and appreciated the quick level restarts when you die. Would love joystick (controller) support, too.
what a clean and cool little game! can only agree with previous comments. Would have loved the music to be a bit louder since the game felt really quiet most of the time. I had a lot of fun with this experience. Congratulations.
This gave me serious Celeste/Hollow Knight vibes, the controls were SO SATISFYING! I love how you introduced the pounce mechanic as well, very tasteful level design. The pixel art animation was also smooth and satisfying (especially the wall cling) and the pause menu was intuitive and refreshingly minimal. Amazing job with this game!
Amazing game—really easy to understand, but hard to master. I spent about half an hour trying to get sub 1 min, but my best was still 1:10.
The controls feel amazing, and the addition of the pounce adds a gentle complexity that is well-explored in the level design. The combination of the pounce + jumps is also very elegant. Congratulations!
Easily the best entry of the jam so far from me. I spent nearly an hour trying to get my time down as far as possible - my best was 1:15.680. Very Celeste-esque. Consider expanding this outside of the jam - it would certainly find an audience.
Catleste! I had a blast playing this. I'll keep trying to beat the dev score later!
Art style is simple but visually appealing with the rest of the game, and I can tell a lot of thought was put into the movement of the cat! The movement and mechanics of the jumps felt great and really fluid.
I love the movement mechanics and how the mechanics are introduced though the levels. I got pretty close to beating the dev time but died at the very end and got a 1:05:354.
Very cool game, just the black screen on retry are annoying
probably one of my favorite games from this jam, the movement system is simple and easy to understand but has a lot of cool combos you can do, its also just really chill :)
