Game Description
Use the arrows or a/w/d to move and figure out the other controls as you make your way. Can you fill the void and find the Easter egg? For a faster play experience, use the download version. Here's our entry to our second ever Godot game jam! We wanted to focus on learning more about UI, animations and VFX, and we had a lot of fun pulling this together. We're getting more confident with the Godot engine every day, but of course there's much more to learn. We wanted to look at shaders and had big ideas for the ending, but this proved a bit ambitious. Maybe next jam we will implement actual settings. ;) Hope you enjoy it!
How does your game tie into the theme?
Make your way through the void, and if you figure out the controls you can fill the void with your own creation.

*Spoiler: We already thought not many people would figure out to press the key the planets showed you after the timer runs out ("V") so here it is. :)
This is quite something. I hit some planets and suddenly they exploded. Not sure why but it was fun for a short time
The game feels like you had fun making it.
I would recommend guiding a bit more the player for open space games like this one !
Hope to see your next one in an other jam .
And feel free to give me feedback to, I would love it !
Fun little game, and I liked all the particle effects! Seems like it was a fun project to build :)
We had lots of fun and lots of frustration on the end screen :) Typical gamejam I suppose ;) Thannks for playing!
There's the basis for an interesting space exploration experience here. The art, UI, and character movement are wonderfully implemented and functional, and some very nice particle work. The goal could be more clearly defined, as I spent a good portion of the gametime floating aimlessly wondering if there was a planet I was supposed to find, but otherwise, for a second-ever submission, I think you guys did quite well!
Thanks for your kind words!
My 6yo son played, he said it was "boring because I don't know what to do" - kids are the harshest critics!
any hints?
You need to press a certain key when the timer runs out! Thanks for playing!
Thanks. I like the music and the controls were well suited to a space game. I know having friction makes it less realistic but realistic space controls are really hard to operate! So I think you judged that well
I'm not sure if i'm supposed to be doing anything, but the control feel good!
Something unlocks when the timer counts down! Thanks for playing!
I can see the improvments already from the last game. You are getting better at godot keep at it!
Thanks for playing!
It looks like it has a lot of potential but, honestly, I'm left rather confused after playing.
I'm not sure what any of the different colour planets do or what I'm supposed to do with them, apart from the red one absolutely deafening me. There's a counter that counts to zero but it doesn't do anything when it gets there. I seem to randomly recover propellant so I'm not aiming for more of that... so what exactly is the aim?
I really think if you'd given a little description or inf,o even in just the write up, people would have a better chance of enjoying this one as you clearly have artistic skills and are able to create an interesting movement mechanic.
We are sorry for the confusion! Once the timer has gone down, something does happen, and that small detail is the hint to get you to fill the void. We wanted to have more of a focus to exploring but are well aware that a majority of the people would not get to the last screen. Thanks for giving the game a go!
This is a solid start for movements. I'm still a bit confused by what is expected of me, but it's already enjoyable to move around and look at what the various asteroid do
Space is just full of surprises ;) Thanks for playing our entry!
fun controls! I was a bit confused what to do at first but I like it!
Thank you so much for playing!
