I have uploaded the main theme for this game to Bandcamp! https://ottereve.bandcamp.com/track/swamp-sunday-godot-wild-jam-73
i HAD to check this one out after I saw Cameron Paxton's upload on Youtube. You.... you made nearly 13 minutes of music in four days....? That's... genuinely terrifying.
This game was one of the most fun games I've played this jam! This Vampire Survivors-esque gameplay loop is really freshened up by the ability to build and place my upgrades where I want. I'm not sure if their placements had any actual effect(?) but I enjoyed piecing them all together nonetheless. And the intro to the game is extremely charming with a great hook of a twist. And of course I love the music very very much. I hope this one gets more recognition, great job to everyone involved!
All it said is "this item can't be opened" and then i got a popup saying it was damaged and needed to be moved to the trash. If something says it can't be opened, I can usually mess around in the terminal and get it to bypass whatever is stopping it, but if it's damaged i don't think I can do anything.
Super duper fun! I loved how exaggerated the difference in scale is in this game. And I liked how whenever I took a lot of damage, the fact that I got smaller actually tended to give me a chance to run away and regroup. Sometimes enemies spawned right on me, and I got blindsided a couple of times by enemies that were so small I could barely see them, but overall I had a blast. Really great game you've made here!
Suuuuuper addicting. Really enjoyed the gameloop. The SFX overlapping on top of each other became really loud REALLY fast. Maybe limit the number of the same SFX instance allowed to exist at the same time, or make each SFX have a 10-20% chance to trigger instead of 100% chance for every single one. Love this entry, great job!!
Fun style and well-made game! Since this is a rhythm game, I do really wish that the music was made specifically for the game rather than using free assets, but I understand if you weren't able to find a composer. I think you could have switched up the rhythm a bit more to fit more with the music, as playing it made me feel like the music was more of an afterthought. However, I do like rhythm games and this one is a solid one. Good job!
