Game Description
Laika is a cute game about fixing problems and making friends. Take the role of the first Earthling to go into orbit and explore some familiar yet alien landscapes as you try to make your way back home.
How does your game tie into the theme?
The Sputnik 2 engineers didn't intend for Laika to come back from space, but in this game, she does. Likewise, our Laika's mission was intended to be a simple orbit, but things go awry and she has to fix the problems her crashed space ship caused.

This plays like a kid's book reads. It's so nicely illustrated. And happy! Nice story with friendly aliens and unique characters. Nice music. Different for each quadrant too. I like your credits screen, with the real story, and a huge list of assets used. The assets were used so cohesively. Everything fit so well together. Really well done.

Really cool art style, amazing sound design, captivating story, minigames that are same enough to feel familiar and yet different enough to feel unique.
With some QOL changes (like WASD support) this perfectly hits the spot.

Thank you very much! I agree that there are several QOL improvements that could be made, particularly with the controls and menus. I didn't have the skill and time to implement them for this game jam, but I now I know for next time!
