Nice, short game, I found the googly eyes on the caterpillar/butterfly really cute. The only thing I would mention is if you are going to keep the environment to the single tree then it would be best to box it in with invisible walls or something. I found the first time I played I flew too far away from the tree as the butterfly and couldn't find my way back. Apart from that its pretty solid!
Thanks, I'm glad to hear you liked it! I actually did add invisible walls, but I know it's not really obvious because of the background. If you focus on the background while flying in one direction, you should see it jump though :)

Haha thank you! I've been wanting to make games for years now, but I've always abandoned my projects before finishing them. This game jam has really motivated me and I definitely want to make more, so I hope I'll get lots of practice
The caterpillar animation was so charming. I enjoyed moving around and eating leaves. Solid loop, and a fun way to see the lifecycle. It would have been nice if there was a benefit/ additional part of the game as a butterfly, but also nice to have something finished :)

Kind of wishing there were more trees or places to explore with the caterpillar/ butterfly, but loving the relaxed mood and how all elements are nicely put together!
Thank you! I actually wanted to add more trees, but I didn't plan ahead well enough so my code structure wouldn't allow that without heavy refactoring
