What a wonderful little game! I really liked the animation, lighting and sound effects. It was really fun to see all the transformations... I think my favorite transformation was the wisp since it made me able to skip harder platforms so I was wishing I could be it all the time (but where's the fun in being able to skip everything, right?). And my least favorite was the dwarf as I wasn't really able to do anything as him and ended up having to completely sit and wait for the next transformation.

Well, I died 5 times but did eventually win! Novel idea for a platformer. I liked the sound effects, music, art, and lighting. Wasn't crazy about transforming mid-jump (at least 3 of my 5 deaths are from this), maybe could add a ~1 second left audio warning before it happens, in addition to the visual timer that you have. Nice entry! :)
Great idea! The rythm and variety of characters fits perfectly :D I would love to see a speedrun by someone actually goodt at platformers x) Nice job!
Awesome idea! Jumping from platform to platform as a cat, minding my own business, then suddenly I turn into a dwarf :). Random transformations were really surprising!
Really interesting idea with the constantly changing forms. I didn’t beat the game, so I might have missed something, but there seemed to be clearly better forms than others (whisp) and some that were not useful and I just sat waiting for it to end. I wonder if you could update it so all the forms were useful at something, just maybe not at the specific moment you got it? Like maybe some could wall climb vs just have a low jump so you change up how you play. And if you don’t finish the climb you switch to one that jumps and you have to hope you get to the platform in time.
A really solid game. The art and lighting were great and really added to the ambience of the level. The idea of constantly changing characters each with distinct gravity/jump etc was really nicely done.
Getting caught in middle of a jump was always a slightly scary for moments. The only thing I'd change which is probably more of a personal preference would be the timer UI somehow represented closer to the player character. I found myself so focused on the platforming that I'd often be caught unware by the timer. Either that or a distinct ticking sound or something like that.
Very cool submission!
The art, animations, lights and sfx really make it a whole, polished game.
You can sometimes get stuck with a low-jumping character but waiting a few seconds for a different one is completely fine.
Congrats!
Very smart use of the theme, really fun and polished game! Congrats on the great work! :D
I'm wondering how did you decide on the duration of the timer. Did you test with longer durations? I was often caught in the middle of a jump and wished that the timer was a little bit longer (maybe my platforming was just a bit too slow? heheh)
Juicy animations!
I enjoyed the twist on the theme. I agree with others that some transformations aren't as good as other, but it's what make's it fun! Likewise, I would've added a timer as I think that with the right transformations and picking up timers, it's possible to do a good time.
Very nice game!
Very nice puzzle platformer! I liked the art and vibe of it, and the light is great! The only major issue for me is that in some places only 2-3 out forms allow you to move further at all, so you just have to wait it out. And the flying one is just totally OP compared to the rest. A cool way to develop it further would be to allow for smaller forms to be also beneficial - e.g. to have places where jumping high is dangerous, or maybe size-wise difference. So it would be cool to have several alternative paths for each orb, to allow for different shapers to "shine".
But otherwise, it was fun! I didn't manage to finish with zero deaths, but I still made it :)
I enjoyed this one quite a bit! The visuals are really well done.
I thought the tiny/slow guy transformation was kind of annoying, and I wish the time between transformations was a bit longer, or be able to move while the dice is being rolled.
Lil blue ghost is my favorite :D
The visuals are awesome, really like the itsy bitsy pixel art! The spirit is way too op, lol but otherwise I had fun playing the game!
I escaped as a fireball... does that mean I'm a fireball for the rest of my life? :o
Pretty fun! Some of the transformations are better than others, but the variety is nice!
This is a great submission! Only suggestion I would have is to add controller support...it's really easy to do in Godot (takes just a couple minutes tops). But the constant shifting was so much fun, had a really good time with it! Nice job!
I really like you use of the theme and wild card here. Having the changing of forms be random. It did feel like some of the forms were super punishing, maybe if they came with their own unique abilities it would feel better.
Overall great job. I suck at platformers so gave up after I died a dozen times. But they were enjoyable deaths. Even when I shifted form mid jump and fell lol.
This is a super unique concept! Definitely some up sides and downsides, but I think that's what game jams are for. Trying something weird and seeing what works and doesn't work with it. Shout out to the cool little ghost guy who flies over everything, felt super fun getting them and hitting the hour glasses to maintain it! Nice job!!
its the funny walk tapping sound effect for me xd
great concept, great art. good game.
