Game Description
It is a physics-based sandbox game where you get to build creatures and put them in a simulation. They will eat, evolve and even go after smaller creatures.
How does your game tie into the theme?
You build critters and run a simulation where they grow and "metamorphose". They go through physical transformation where they grow bigger and grow more legs.

Very cool sim game! The UI design and ambient vibe work really well together.
I did find the controls a little unintuitive, I'm not sure why we need to shift-click to place for example.
Stylistically such a cool thing to create in just a week and a very cool basis for a bigger evolution sim game.
Thank you so much for playing!!!π
The reason for using Shift-Click to place the parts was me not being able to reliably prevent the user from placing the parts under the UI elements. I was running out of time so I had to opt for Shift-Click haha. π I can 100% understand why it can be annoying so I will definitely get to making it possible to place parts with just left clicks after the voting period ends π
Again, thanks a bunch for the feedback, really glad you liked it π
I tried creating multiple creatures with care after the first attempt where I accidentally created atoms simulation... I still ended up with atoms simulation. Would totally recommend for physics studies and experiments to nuclear scientists.
On a more serious note, I really like the music and the UI transition was so cool ! I can totally see this becoming a fully fledged game with more body parts and food with various effects or even differents environnements where the creatures can evolve.
Hahaha thank you very much for playing! π
That's a great idea actually. Ima pitch this game to scientists π
Really glad you liked the game! I definitely would love to introduce some new body parts that affect how the creature behaves in different ways. I probably will make an update for the game after the voting period ends ππ
Created a 12-headed beast
It evolved very fast
Multiplied heads and legs
It started moving really fast on the screen
After a while it disintegrates into the 6th dimention
Joking aside, very good sandbox concept! Fun to observe how the creatures you create evolve. Best sandbox game on this jam so far! Would be cool to have more body parts to choose
Thank you so much!!! Those words mean a lot to me π
Making multiheaded beasts is my favorite part of the game too haha π€£. I definitely agree about having more body parts to choose from! Having different parts that make the creature behave differently is going to be very interesting.
Thanks again, really appreciate it π
Great concept, loved playing around with different shapes and sizes you can make the creatures!
Thanks a bunch for playing! πReally glad you had fun experimenting with the creatures π
This was really silly and fun! The only issue I had (my own fault really) was I kept clicking on the foot thinking it's an arrow. "Where are the other body part options?" I thought to myself :')))) I'm not very smart
Thank you very very much for playing!!!
And nooo don't tell that about yourself haha! π I can totally understand why the leg could be mistaken for an arrow. I honestly had not considered that before, but now I will thanks to your feedback. It's another thing I can change about the game after the voting period, to make it a better game, so thank you so much for pointing it out.
I will think of and implement a way to indicate that it is a leg πMaybe a little prompt, just like the one you get when you press the new creature button π
Awesome game! Loved the simulation of these little glitchy critters, I had a good few laughs and a shock of horror when I discovered they would eat each other when food was scarce! D:
I do wish there was a pause button as my new creatures would quickly be devoured by whatever monstrosity was made before it!
Very fun submission nonetheless, and incredible work given the short 3 days period you had!
Thank you very much for playing!!!π
The experience you described was just what I hoped players would experience when they played the game, so I am very happy to hear that!
A pause button honestly sounds like a great idea and something I definitely should have added in the first place haha π¬. Thanks a bunch for the feedback!
I really like little sandbox simulation stuff like this, having a smaller pool of body parts to choose from made me get weird with my creatures. Yes I do want to see what how an 8 headed hydra of a wiggly beast behaves and it did not disappoint.
A lot of the physics movement is very haphazard but it's charming in it's own way tbh, like I could still tell the intent on where my creatures are going and what theyre doing despite the flailing limbs. They're cute little guys.
Thank you so much for playing!!! π
Really glad to hear your experience with game. Having the player try out crazy things was my intension while making the game so I'm really happy it came through. Making creatures with more than one head is my favorite thing to do as well haha. Seeing the different heads fight for the food and battle to go in different directions is fun π€£
Thanks again for the feedback, really appreciate it!
Wow, I really like the UI animations and stuff, really highly polished! This isn't really my type of game, but I still really enjoyed it because of how clean the implementation was. Definitely could use a little bit more stuff to do... But still really cool!
Thank you so much! That means a lot coming from you, your game was my personal favorite in this game jam! π
Really glad you enjoyed my game despite it not being your usual type. I definitely agree there isn't a whole lot to do at the moment. I wish to add more different body parts and different affect how the creature behaves in the future. π
OMG thanks so much, glad you liked our game!
I agree, different body parts and behaviors would be a cool addition. I'm looking forward to what you make going forward, because this game was really clean!
Very well polished foundation to build upon a really fun Spore-like game! I'd love to see some gameplay progression, where creature evolving and consuming other creatures unlocked new parts/colors/etc. Definitely think you should continue with this and turn it into a full-fledged game!
Thank you so much for playing!!! π
Really glad you like the game. I'll definitely work on fleshing out the game more after the voting period π
I honestly was planning to have multiple parts when I started work on the game but towards the end I realized I didn't have enough time π
It means a lot that you saw potential for growth. Thanks a bunch π
That was a cool little simulation game! It's pretty wild that you built it in only 3 days! I think the stylized graphics and simple color scheme work really well for this game. Some of the sound effects, particularly the main menu buttons and body part placement, I found to be quite harsh on my speakers (loud compared to bg music, harsh pop/click dynamics). Other than that, nice UI. I'm sure with more time you could have done some auto-rotate and such, but it works well enough as it is! "Big creatures eat small creatures" was a fun feature. :)
Thank you very much for playing!!! π
I definitely should have added a way for the player to adjust the volume of the sound π
Auto-rotate is an awesome idea to add too, I can completely understand how having to rotate parts like the legs would become annoying after a while.
Thanks a bunch for the feedback! I will definitely get to adding volume controls and balance out the loudness of the buttons after the voting period ends π
Great to see a fellow creature-simulation game :D I have to admit I spent much more time on this game than I probably should have hahaha
Very polished simulation that makes a really fun and entertaining experience, great job!
Thank you so much!!! π
Very happy to hear you enjoyed the game! Means a lot to me that you spent time on the game haha, I initially had my doubts on whether people would play it more than 2 minutes π
very polished and i love the little guys uwu
Thank you so much for trying out the game :D
Glad you like it π
The AI did not seem to be working properly for me, my little worm's body part were flying everywhere
Aside from that, I absolutely LOVE the artstyle !!!
Thank you very much for playing! π
The physics system definitely has a lot of scuffed bugs since I rushed to put it together. Sorry for the inconvenience π
I will try to fix it after the voting period π
Glad you like the art style! That means a lot!
I like having a little wiggly worm homies. I liked seeing my guys get bigger. Very nice and cute!
Thank you very much for playing :D
That transition effect is so cool - very polished looking game! With the tutorial, it would be nice if you could try doing the thing immediately after learning about it, otherwise it's easy to forget the earlier ones after going through them all.
Thank you very much! π
I 100% agree with your feedback about the tutorial, I started quite late with the game so I didn't have time to implement it any better.
I will definitely implement that after the voting period ends! π
Neat idea, liked the sim aspect of it.
Thank you!!! π
Delightful art and UI, pretty creative idea. It was fun to experiment around for a while and make some cursed creatures. I think one of them evolved into a particle accelerator. Ah, physics. Never fails to amuse
Thank you so much!
Haha yeah I had quite a few turn into particle accelerators while testing too π
Honestly, I have no idea how to fix it (yet) so I might leave it in as a quirky "feature"
Cool graphics and idea! The only thing I didn't like were the controls, I fell like if you could bind different body parts to Q, W and E the game would fell much smoother and easier to interact with,
Thanks a bunch!! π
I agree the controls were quite unintuitive, and that is a great idea! Using Q, W, E to change parts, I would have never thought about that. Genius idea really. Will implement that after the voting period π
