A fun mirror gameplay game with some nice little puzzles in the levels. There weren’t many levels, but the ones that were included were enjoyable to play.
The theme and palette were incorporated… check. The controls worked well, and the visuals were minimalist but stylish.
I did miss having sound, which was a shame—it could have added to a more immersive experience.
Keeping it going like this! 😊
The game fit with the theme nicely. Just missing sound.
First of all, congratulations on your level design, it’s amazing! The way you managed to connect the two perspectives of the characters in a simple, intuitive, and achievable manner makes the game very enjoyable to keep playing.
Another strong point is how you introduce everything to the player, especially the dangers, which are VERY CLEARLY presented and make it obvious that any mistake near those areas could result in death.
I really liked your art style, it’s pleasant, and the main characters are super cute. The white background with some highlighted elements was also a great choice, as it keeps the player's attention focused on what’s truly important.
I would have loved to have more control over the jump mechanics. For example, the longer you hold the jump button, the higher the jump goes until it reaches its limit, stopping the ascent if you release the key.
I wish there were some extra levels, but I completely understand the time constraints. I also have a feeling the coins were originally intended to serve some other purpose, right? Either way, if you decide to continue working on this project, I wish you the best of luck! It has a lot of potential.
Congrats on the game, it was genuinely fun to play!
cool well made platformer with an interesting idea and mechanics I really liked it!!
Good use of the theme, sometimes it did feel a bit like parking one of the guys and focusing on the other, i do think the spikes where a bit to unforgiving sometimes.
Sound / music would have been a cherry on top with this one
This game has surprisingly responsive controls and really emulates the feeling of playing a multiplayer game like Bubble Bobble as one person with two controllers. Some of the spike layouts could be slightly more lenient, since this wasn't made with two players in mind after all. I'm shocked how well it functions. I got all forty-five coins. I suppose those were intended for something more, but the game jam's time was too limited?
The big issue is that there's just not enough of the game. The areas are rather barren and the sound design needs to be there for an arcade game feel. This has some of the most potential of any submission, however.
Good use of the theme. The game had good controls, though sometimes jumping would not work if you were moving. The mechanics are there, just needed some visuals, sound and a theme/story to make it a whole experience.
Great job.
Good concept and well implemented, the controls are smooth and the mechanics are simple to understand. I particularly liked the falling rocks as platforms above the spikes, and the wall falling to form a floor. Hopefully you continue working on it and add more levels, it has great potential!
All I was missing was some audio. Levels were easy to understand and doable without any frustration. The character controller was well made - you never felt like you lost control. The level design was also very good. Good job
the game is soo good, bro, a want to win the jam, but i want this became a real game too(On steam)
I liked the level with the falling rocks, and the floaty jumps fit well thematically! I would have enjoyed seeing more interactions between the player characters, and some audio could have made the experience better overall. Still, a solid take on the theme - good job!
Nice little game! It was pretty hard, I would focus on one screen, forget the other existed, and die. But I did finish eventually. I think adding sound and more interaction between the characters would be a nice.
