A fun puzzle platformer with two colored worlds. So the theme was incorporated, and the palette was cleverly used with nice accents.
The puzzles were challenging and gave a great sense of accomplishment when solved or when you managed to execute them properly with the controls. Like others mentioned, I would have also preferred using the spacebar for jumping. My fingers often hit the wrong key, especially at the start.
The pixel art looked great, with cute characters, nice animations, VFX, and adorable sound effects. I think a calm background track or ambiance effect would complement the game nicely as well.
A fun game that leaves you wanting more levels and puzzles. Good job! 馃槉
There is some great good design here, and the artwork and animations are gorgeous. I would love more levels, and an ending screen would be nice since it鈥檚 a bit confusing when the game restarts. Overall, it鈥檚 very, very good!
Nice entry.
It is a shame that you did not make a few more levels. I must admit I was stuck for quite a while in the last level not realizing how changing between characters would allow me to put the white character on the top platform. Once I figured that out the level was easy to complete, but it feels like a similar, yet simpler puzzle should have prepared me for that situation.
Clean controls, good sound effects, even though you were missing a background song and on theme. Good job
Congratulation on getting so many ratting. Space for jump and keep switching wold wen I wont to jump.
I loved the animations!!! The characters had a lot of personality. The only two things I could argue about it are the controls, as others already said, I kept too pressing space to jump XD, and I missed some background music too. Besides that, I really liked this game!!
Could make space jump instead. I kept on trapping myself
Great use of the color palette, and awesome sound effects! As others have said, I found the controls a bit confusing. I often ended up pressing space to jump out of muscle memory, which would mess me up sometimes. Also, the animation is super polished! Great work!
The Artwork is amazing!! The contrast of colors using red, white and black truly highlights the theme. And the Core Game Mechanic, was on a whole another level. The puzzles felt confusing in the beginning, but as the solution came through, the game becomes more and more fun. One thing I would suggest to change are the controls. As you know the default controls for a platformer game are W or Space for Jump and A & D for movement. The K for Jumping made it confusing at times. I'd suggest some letter closer to players reach (Like E or Q for instance) to switch worlds and Usual W or Space for Jump. The rest was indeed great. Excellent!!
Great artwork and animations, I also loved the puzzles. Really well thought out and gave me those eureka moments after trying a different approach. The controls and physics feel nice and smooth, I would agree with some comments here that space bar is so synonymous with jump that using it for other functions can throw me off a little, but think you're already aware of that. Its a shame you didn't have time to add music, would have been good, but understandable in a jam this short, the SFX are really nice however and tie you into the world. I was ready to play more when it ended so will definitely keep an eye on it, hopefully you get time to update and we can play more levels!
Okay the animations are definitely clean- specifically the box squish and the turning animation. The jumping animations? All animation in this game is peak. The mechanics are also peak! Suspending and pausing the world is pretty good! I quite liked having boxes suspended in the air, I can see some pretty nifty jumps/shortcuts off that. I noticed the absence of music halfway in, is that deliberate? Anywho, this has a great level of polish. Wish there was more to play! Virtual boy/ 10
Thanks! I planned to add music but ran out of time, music and more levels are planned for an update to the game. I also thought it has a Virtual Boy look when in the red world.
Very cute game. I like the controls fine as is, but customizable binds would be nice for sure. The duality between worlds was really effective. Using the black objects and backgrounds for both realities was a great way to add a bit of a spooky vibe. Even I wasn't alone, I sure felt as though I was.
One interesting thing I noticed was that during the falling animations of blocks, I could perspective shift and the blocks would still be suspended in mid-air. I'm not sure if that was intentional, but it could make for some pretty great puzzles later on.
My biggest gripe is the lack of music. Even a simple ambient track could add a lot. Also, perhaps a button could be added which pulls blocks rather than pushing them.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah the blocks being frozen mid-air is intentional, I plan to add some puzzles where they are used as platforms, the mechanic just wasn't included in the levels made for the jam.
Sounds awesome.
Very nice platformer, this is exactly what i first wanted to make nice to see that somebody else made it.
I actually cant comment on this because i also had no music but some background music would have been welcome.
But solid gameplay and use of the theme.
Only other thing i could remark is that i kept switching the level because i am so used to press spacebar to jump
Thanks! Yeah, I intended to add music but as the deadline drew closer I had to prioritize finishing the levels and fixing bugs instead. I'm taking feedback on controls into consideration, and will add space as the jump button when I update the game.
wow this looks and sounds incredible! I prefer up or space for jump, but this is really good and well thought out
This is so good for a game jam game! The simple visual style is clear enough to tell different elements apart, and the little details when player jumps and background added so much polishing to the game. It is a bit frustrating to get softlocked and had to restart the level 3 multiple times while using a control completely opposite to what I'm used to but the gameplay is definitely there.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad those details are appreciated.
I'm taking all controls feedback into consideration. I might change the controls in this game to space to jump and left ctrl to switch worlds.
I've seen a few games in the jam with a similar idea, but I think the puzzles in yours are the best thought out of the lot. Your movement/platforming also feels comfortable and a bit more lenient to give focus to the puzzles.
Very cool!
WOW, I just love the game! Nice puzzles, you used the theme very very well! Congratulations!! Add more puzzles, it was really fun to play!
if you have time, take a look at our game!

This game looks really cute, and the game plays really well. As other have said, the control scheme is a little awkward and there should totally be some music! That said, this game is really really well put together and I LOVE the way you utilized the limited palette to differentiate the two worlds.
This is great submission!!! I will say I found the jumping to be a little awkward but other than that you nailed the theme. Nice work!!!!
Thanks! What difficulty did you have with the jumping? I'm considering changing the controls to include space as the jump button.
It was just awkward using the Z and K keys to jump while moving . Including space as a jump button will imporve that aspect significantly
This has been my favorite submission so far! The game feels coherent and complete, the art direct and little guys are so cute, and the puzzle concept is well executed and just tricky enough to understand at first, but still have to think about. As others have said, the 'Z' for jump is awkward. I would make jump space or 'W' and the perspective swap 'Z' instead. Some nice music, maybe that distorts on character swap, would add to the atmosphere. Fantastic job here! P.S The parallax is a nice touch.
