A simple and short game, I like the usage of purple and classical music as her forest become more and more corrupted! I do wish my cursor would stop unlocking since it was controlling the camera and had my head spinning a little.
Other than that, its indeed a vevi cwute game!
Short and sweet, story was straightforward but I still found it really engaging.
Appreciate the inclusion of arrow keys for camera control, since my cursor unlocks whenever a dialogue box shows up. (Also would prefer to have the cursor locked at all times, or lock the windows cursor and utilize an in-game cursor if you must)
I especially love the usage of classical music for this, it sets up the mood of this game so well.
I had fun! Thanks for making this!
I liked the environment and the storytelling.
The platforming was also pretty good. I think I only encountered one jump that was a bit tight, but probably because I was fighting the camera control.
I like that you can have an "alternate ending" if you immediately touch magenta Fauna. Speaking of ending, I played the web version and it kinda just stops where I assume is the end of the game.
I hope you consider expanding it with more levels and other movement mechanics after the jam. It would be interesting to see.
Overall a nice and short platforming game with a narrative. Good job!
A cute platformer with a nice and simple story. I think the game would benefit from some more mechanics. I did like how you go back through the same areas but now with the corrupted thorns.
Sorry to hear about your download issues with this demo, but I'm glad there's still a playable version available.
Fantastic work, it's really cute! The music set the mood well, and the environments are neat. I really liked going through the areas again in a corrupted form, that was a great way to show the corruption setting in.
A cute platformer with a short story. I played the browser version and got lost at the last part because I didn't know where to go. Overall, it was a simple and fun game that manages to tell its story.
Really short platformer but it was nice to play through! Having the saplings as collectibles was very nice and it made the challenges more interesting. The dialogue boxes needing to be clicked on also made it much harder to go through them and then get back in since the camera is also mouse controlled. But still, great job!
Yeah, that version of text box was not a good idea on my part. First time trying out dialogue boxes. Won't be doing that again that way.
A fun short lil platformer! I like how floaty the jumps feel and the levels are paced well to show the mechanics and story in each level. And somehow, classic music fits Fauna perfectly😂.
I did feel that the hitbox on some thorns were way bigger than it seemed, and it's easy for corrupted fauna to get stuck somewhere trying to chase you.
But nonetheless, great job with the game!
I will have to see what I can do with chase section, so she does not get stuck. I added a corrupted grass texture to reset hit boxes to better outline areas. Was using randomizers to auto place thorns within kill zone and that looks to not fill very efficiently. I will re-upload after voting lets me. Thank you.
It's cool to see that two developers can independently come up with nearly the same concept and still do completely different things with it. I happen to be the other developer. ^^' Well done!
