Very mysterious and enveloping, I digged your usage of a leit motif throughout, and the story telling feeling, with subtle changes leading me to feel like I am in a new place full of danger. I also think you being so specific about the setting of your piece is absolutely genius. It makes me want to rethink how I approach future jams, looking for a much more focused view in an element of the world, instead of just going for the general "city", "underground" or whatever generic concept. And, last but not least, STRATOCASTER! Man, I want more of that. Really felt the glimpse of that ancient civilization past in those few seconds of sweet guitar playing. But alas, it was just a fading memory, I guess... Great work!

Interesting take its sound more "traditional" 90's game pretty unique, i feel like its unfinished, we have the feeling to go somewhere else but you just faded it, where's the rest of it XD. Anyway good job

Man that reverb fx on the timpani at around 1:30 is a delight!

Really enjoyed your submission, good job

Take care :)

I feel like I'm in an abandoned castle in an early 90's JRPG.  This was extremely evocative for me.  Great stuff.  I agree with others that the mix is soft and gentle, like it's coming out of an a rear-projection television's speakers.  Works great for setting the mood.

The electric guitar at the end really grabs my attention there, I though we're gonna switch to rock lol.

Really like the solemn atmosphere, great work!

The mixing is nice, not in it even being a super complex mix, but just in the fact that it's very gentle on the ears.

I think maybe the timpani sounds a bit dry, though I could see that being stylistic. I like the gong/metallic percussion in unison in the later part of the track 1:21.

Great work! :)

Thanks! It's nice to hear words describing parts of the mix like "dry" and "close" as I feel like I can't always put my finger on why something sounds the way it does. My approach to shaping the mix mostly consists of listening to the nearly completed track on a few different areas (headphones, studio monitors, earbuds, laptop speakers, phone speaker) hoping for a consistent experience. If I perceive anything sticks out too much or too little I'll do something about it. I would like to get a bit more methodical about it in the future :)

Oh, little key-chain sounds so close to the ears are so good. The composition gives a lot of vibes from Heretic / Hexen series or some old fantasy movies like Conan.
Love it.

I love how the focus on the council chamber aspect of your lost city comes through—instrumentally, it really complements the idea. The guitar at 1:52 is especially great!
