It's a really interesting approach, the only downside we noticed was that when the character dies, the game doesn't allow us to play it again inmediately and we needed to restart the page manually. Other than that, it feels really polished and cool!

Developer

thanks for the kind words! yeah about that I forgot to add a restart UI :)
again time constraints and stress, I should have made priorities but I will surely fix soon, thank you for your support!

An interesting sense of humor, but a polished game. My biggest gripe is that the dungeon seems to be able to be blocked off by an ill-spawned pillar. It has a good game play loop otherwise.

Developer

thanks a lot! Unfortunately I missed this obviously glaring mistake with no time to fix, I will smooth everything over asap and hopefully the game reaches its full potential!

Wow, really nice. Saw your comments about audio, and yeah, would've been nice. But the rest is outstanding.

Really cool game! Loved the rolling animation😅

Really nice use of the assets and love the inclusion of a mini map.

Cute dialogue humour from the shopkeeper too :)

Would love to have seen how music and sound effects could elevate it.

Developer

Thank you so much! I will surely work on it more and helpfully music will bring it to life!
appreciate the feedback!

Nice game, but procedural generation could use some work, as it stopped me from progressing twice by generating a closed corridor

Developer

thank you!
yeah that was a big problem that I really missed when making this, valve pls fix

Nicely done! I like the coherent feel and the level layouts were fun to explore. This is more a 'me problem' than a game problem but I wish you could roll with space. I'm away from my desktop this week so I played on a laptop without a mouse plugged in, and the middle mouse is always tricky on the track pad. But that's not any fault of yours, just the equipment I brought with me. Overall, solid game!

Developer(+1)

glad you enjoyed it! I'm sorry you had a problem, I should have clarified that there is keyboard controls too!

as people who played my past games complained from my keyboard only controls i decided to add mouse too , but you can still use the J, K, and L key respectively to Shield, Attack and roll! hope that helps!

Love the rolling animation! does the dungeon actually procedurally generated?

Anyway very solid submission!

Developer

Thank you! yes it is procedurally  generated! took too much time and still came out buggy xD

Really like the idea! Throwback to the days I played Diablo2 :) Map looks organic - well done. There are improvements I'd suggest - 1. UI of the shop can be improved, as well as interaction with trader, maybe on button press would be nice. 2. Attack is a bit OP as you can attack as fast as you can click and distance is further than attack range of the green enemies.

PS. there is just 1 level, right? Would play more with pleasure :)

Developer

thank you! I made everything hastily with no time to consider the design, but I will surely work on those points, the dungeon has multiple floors you have to find the purple portal to go the the next floor ! glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback!

Great use of that asset pack!

Love it, we definitely should have teamed up! The perspective you chose is what I had in mind originally, but I couldn't figure out the math to make the character move in the proper direction based on the user input :)

Good job, well done!

I encountered a small bug: I got stuck in a corridor where the corridor was filled with 2 adjacent rocks and I could not pass.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!
I did not have enough time to fix the rocks blocking corridors problem, I will surely work on that! great feedback, I'm willing to share my project source or perhaps if you need any help!

Very good game and i like the looks of it

nice game bro

Assets look nice with this lighting and level layout! The character movement is a bit annoying with the rotated camera, it would be a lot better if the character moved straigt up when pressing up instead of diagonal.

I also got stuck at a certain point where I couldn't move through a narrow hallway.

Congrats on finishing and hopefully you will soon add sound and music to the game.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

I did not have enough time to set constraints for obstacle spawning thus you can get blocked, Im sorry just reload the game xD

I will surely further develop this, hopefully the music will give it more soul!

Submitted(+1)

Nice game, good visuals and obviously matches the theme well. I had a few attempts where I couldn't progress further because the hallway was blocked, I guess that is due to the random generation? Otherwise really fun.

Music and SFX would add a lot to this I think

Developer

Thank you! Really means much to me!

I did not implement constraints on the random generation that's why sometimes blocks spawn too adjacent, I will surely further work on it, music would surely elevate the experience!

Submitted

very beautiful looking game, i found the movement hard to get used to though

Developer

Thank you! I wasted all my time on the random Generation that I barely had force to polish the movement and combat, thus the finicky movement and lack of feedback, at least it looks good tho :)
I will surely try to further polish this concept, thank you for your kinds words, stay tuned for more!

The game seems to just be a white screen that doesn’t load.

Submitted(+1)

Its the WebGL loading, just wait a few seconds for it to load and you can play.

Developer

as Denaton stated, the game is roughly 50mb's and takes a time to load, wait a bit and hopefully it will work, thank you Denaton for pointing it out!

Submitted(+1)

Okay just didn’t wait long enough.

Seems like the menu option doesn’t do anything and the quit option locks up the game and I couldn’t figure out a way to restart after dying. The movement was a bit slow for my tastes but generally worked well. Would love to have some sfx and music added.

Developer (1 edit)

thank you for the feedback, will surely further work on it!
