The tone of this adventure is just fantastic. Really ominous.
I especially like the combination of timeline and random encounters to ramp up the tension. That seems like it would work really well to build up horror and desperation.
Thank you! There's nothing quite like a time crunch to raise the stakes.
Evocative concept and artwork! The module itself speaks to you as a piece of art itself and lingers with you because of that as well! Definitely the best use of free art in this jam! READ THIS!!
Wow, thank you so much!
Really a beautifully designed adventure. I could leave this out on the table and would function as a good read or just decore...THAT is hard to pull off. Great tension in story, easy to read through and could see this as an important site in a campaign story or one-shot. Well done!
Wow, thank you!
I love this adventure. Excellent graphic design. It's fantastic how you use oil paints to create an atmosphere according to the theme of the setting. And also a very good map and an original title.
This is such a compliment coming from you - I keep seeing your art posted on the Mausritter Discord server and I was super impressed by your Knave entry. Thank you so much!
This is properly spooky and that's not easy to pull off. Really well laid out with beautiful imagery too. I love that so much is packed into a small space and how it's like a temporal hex crawl where the passing of time keeps the events moving while the players are stuck inside the lighthouse with crazy NPCs (I'm also a big fan of lighthouses and we don't see them enough in TTRPGs). This would work as an awesome one-shot or side adventure in a campaign too.
I'm so pleased to hear that, thank you so much!
Great atmosphere and layout. Love the use of classic artwork to capture the vibe of the scenario. I look forward to running a version of this for my players
Thank you, please let me know how it goes!
Wow! You're adventure is so gorgeous. I want a physical release! Put it up as a POD and I'll buy it! Really enjoyed how clean this was and your masterful use of layout, especially the NPC descriptions and special traits. So stylish!
I agree! A masterclass in tasteful design. I wjsh jt had twenty more pages just so it fit the criteria to go hardcover. I want these pages in a melsonian style binding 🤣
Thank you so much, Daniel!
Thank you so much! This was my first time publishing anything so I'm still figuring out the POD side of things, but I'd love to have physical copies made available
Your game has the best use of free-use art I've seen in the entire jam.
Thank you so much! Such a nice compliment
Looking forward to running this one! Very clean style. Good concept, and visually appealing. The font is a bit small. The change in density from page 9 onwards is slightly jarring, and pages 12+ feel cramped in comparison to the earlier ones (Jam page limit is probably the culprit though, so no worries). Fun little horror scenario, but It feels a bit weirdly placed for Knave, I could see myself using it for Into the Odd or a Panic Engine horror system. I feel like there is slightly more steering required by the DM compared to the usual OSR stuff: I don't think some of the resolution stuff needs to be spelled out, but that is probably just a preference thing! Looks great though excellent work!
Thank you for the kind words and the insightful critique, I really appreciate it!
Keep up the great work, I'll definitely enjoy running this one! :D
Amazing, please let me know how it goes!
it's my osr system of preference and a homage to one of ny favorite modern art house horrors, whats not to like?!
Thanks, Daniel!
I like how you separated the special abilities in the margins. This does seem like it'd be a fun spooky game to run for Halloween.
Thank you!
