O....M....G... I'm OBSESSED with this game!!!!!!! I'm usually spending 3 minutes each game before the voting ends but I've been playing this game for over 20 minutes XD AMAZING JOB!!!!
ownn thank you so much! Your comment made my night\ (^^)/
I'm really happy to read you had such a positive experience with my game 🥺 I usually expect people to get bored and only play through the tutorial since there are many other interesting games to check out instead of my little basic tower defense... Reading that you had fun and dedicated so much time to my game really means a lot to me! (=^-^=)
Thank you so much for playing and for the sweet comment \(*^_^*)/
Artwise this is just superb. Gameplay wise it's an extremely solid tower defense game. I feel like the thing that would've been really handy is the ability to replace the tower's that I already have. I like the educational aspect of it as well. An interesting design approach for this could be to make certain enemies weak/resilient to certain towers (perhaps the towers could be representations of real world ways in which to fight viruses). This, coupled with the ability to replace towers on the fly could make for very engaging and dynamic gameplay. Awesome work!
Hi there! Thank you so much for playing and awesome review, I really appreciate it! =^_^=
My original plan was to make each tower specialized against 1 type of enemy (it would hit the other types of viruses but it would give way less damage), I think it would have helped fit even better the theme... However since I had 9 types of enemies in mind when I started the project I gave up on the idea because I was afraid of not having enough time (little did I know my game would end up with 5/9 enemies so I should have tried to rush and add that mechanic, oh well ) >_< But I'll definitely add the things you pointed out.
Once again thanks for playing! \(^_^)/
I enjoyed it. Good job.
Thank you so much for playing my game \(*^_^*)/
Hello :D Thank you so much for playing!
I'm really happy you liked the art style I chose and that you liked the game, it makes me really happy ヽ(^◇^*)/
Thanks again for the sweet comment and for rating, I appreciate it =^ ^=
I like the need for real-time strategy to build funds for more offensive power.
Hi there, I'm happy you liked it :D Thank you so much for playing (◠‿◠✿)
Tower defence games are always fun. And you have managed to develop a flawless little tower defence game without bugs in such a little time. Well done!
Awnn thank you so much for playing and for the sweet comment \(*^▽^*)/ I'm really happy you found it fun and didn't encounter any bugs ^-^
This tower defense game is one of my favorite games in tower defense,Awesome Job!!
I'm happy to read that (◠‿◠✿) Thank you so much for playing and for the sweet comment \(*^ -^*)/
This game straight off the bat has amazing art and is put together very well. You should be proud. I love that you choose when the wave starts, and it's even got a little story.
It would have been nice to have explanations of the turrets and their benefits welved into the levels more. I found myself just randomly placing whichever I felt like buying. Worked though as I was never hit lol
Needs some more feedback too. Like a nice victory music or message when completing a level. The music shift with a huge wave of enemies was nice though :) Well done dude!
Hi there and thank you so much for the sweet review! (^▽^)
I'm really happy you like the art, I tried really hard to make the assets fit and look good together >_<
I'll make sure to add more gameplay feedback to the player in future updates as well as more details and features that I missed ^-^
Thank you for playing and for the comment (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
this game is in the tower defense style, one of my favorite styles, the mechanics are well polished without bugs, I just found a small problem that when the enemies go to the left they are upside down, the game is very intuitive, I for example skipped the tutorial and being able to play well, at first it's very easy, but as the stages progress it gets more difficult, but it's not unfair, I liked the detail of you putting the skip to skip the dialogue and I also liked the extras talking about towers and enemies , a personal detail is that I thought the first phase lasted longer than it should, but this is something personal, this game at the end gives a feeling of "I want more", if you were going to continue this project, a tip is to put a button that speeds up the game time, it's a great game congratulations
Hello :D Thanks so much for playing and for the improvement ideas!
Yup the enemies do get upside down haha🙃I saw this while testing but pushed it aside to fix later and in the end I totally forgot about it >_<
Thanks again for the review, I'll definitely add up the ideas you mentioned (◠‿◠✿)
Always liked the tower defense games, This gives the gives the same feeling but with different taste.Well done
Thank you so much for playing \(^_^)/
Relaxing, low spec tower defense with an amusing take on the theme. If only cleaning infected computers was this fun in real life.
Hi there and thank you so much for playing! =^_^=
I'm happy you had a good time and I agree, I wish cleaning infected computers was easier and more interactive haha \(^▽^)/
I see you used the Kenney asset pack for the basis of your turrets just like I did. Very cool tower defense game I really liked it. The levels difficulty, maps, and enemies all seemed really well made. I also loved the music and sound effects. A+ game for sure!
I just have to know, did you by any chance get inspired by Club Penguin's System Defender game? It has the same feel to it/concept. If not, then my bad but I thought maybe you did xD
Great job!
Hi there, thank you so much for the comment and for playing my game!
Yup, I used the kenney towers and also, the level decorations were indeed inspired by the System defender from club penguin haha (^▽^)
I loved that mini-game s a Kid and it was the one I missed the most when it shut down >_< I also got some inspiration from the world "logbox 720" from Banjo e kazooie nuts and bolts. Oh I miss these games T_T
Anyway, I'm happy someone recognised one of my inspirations (✿◠‿◠)
Thanks again for playing, I'm really happy you liked it
I like that you took the time to set the stage with the text prompts at the beginning. To me the occasional fast units and big enemy waves were very succesful at creating tension and mixing up the pace. It would be handy to be able to look up the different towers during or before the start of the wave. Overall, good fun and +1 for using Godot, it's nice to see some other engines being represented as well!
Hiii thank you so much for playing and feedback! I'm glad the big waves successfully added some tension >_<
I'm working on a tower stats preview during gameplay so the player can check as many times needed and choose which is more convenient to place more easily and I'm also working on wave time improvements so the player can breath and place a few towers before more enemies pops up.
Thank you again for checking my game out and for the 1+ from using Godot ≧◡≦
Great game! I love tower defense games. Very nice and well polished. I managed to finish it and would have loved to keep going! Great job!!
Hello! Thank you so much for checking my game! I'm really happy to find another tower defence fan and that you liked it (◠‿◠✿)
I'm planning on adding more levels in the future and I'm happy you found it well polished, I tried my best ^-^
Thanks again for the sweet comment and for playing my game \(*^▽^*)/
It starts slowly but after some time the game sucked me into the gameplay and I've finished it all! It wasn't difficult , but it was very satisfying. I love the variety of viruses, big and slow and fast swarms coming one after another. It forces player to use different stategies. I enjoyed it :)
Awn thank you so much for playing and for the sweet review! ≧◡≦
I'm really happy you liked and had a good experience with my game (◠‿◠✿) Also, I'm happy to read you found it satisfying, I tried to make eliminating the viruses (especially the fast swarms) as relaxing and therapeutic as I could haha >_<
Thanks again for playing :D
More Levels!
I'll take that as a compliment haha :D And I'll make sure to add more levels, don't worry\(*^▽^*)/
Thank you so much for playing (◠‿◠✿)
Awesome that you included a tutorial! Art style was simple and clean, I liked it. Music and SFX were fitting, too. Very impressive that you managed to submit a tower defense game, they are very hard to balance in my opinion, especially in such a short time. This one was very fun to play, thanks for sharing.
Hi there! Wow thank you so much for the review :D I'm really happy you liked it ^-^
I like to code very minimalist tower defence games in my spare time so I personally didn't have too much trouble with the basics of it. However : I always leave tons of features out of my little prototypes (since they are just for fun) so I did have to learn how to add many features that I'm not so familiar with but that are expected to be in this type of game.
So yeah, I had to rush to make it look decent and get it done on time, as well as make sure it was as bug free as possible haha ≧◡≦
Once again, thank you so much for playing! I'm really happy you had fun with it \(^▽^)/
Fun and addicting game, nice concept, those viruses can't even touch me. I hope you add a feature to remove a tower in the future. Keep up the good work!
Hello =^-^= Thank you so much for playing! I'm really happy you found my game fun and addicting :D oh and I love the idea to remove towers! How I didn't think about this (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
I'll definitely make it a feature in the future!
Thanks again for stopping by and for the sweet comment \(^-^)/
I really loved the code side to it I thought it was amazing and done really well, especially the code that made it that the turrets shot the ones closest to finishing. I thought the art was basic but fit the theme really well.
Hi there, thanks for checking my game :D
I'm so happy someone noticed this tower shooting feature \(^▽^)/ I felt like it was kinda hard to notice and was wondering if it had been worth the extra code so I'm really glad you liked it ^-^ Thanks again for playing and for the comment, it means a lot \(^-^)/
ofc no worry's I'm happy your having a good time and enjoying the jam.
Overall a fun game. I noticed that you've put a lot of thought in the code. The art is simple but it fits the theme you're going for. I think the game gets too hard too quickly though. Also, I think you should make it so you see the stats of the turrets when you hover it. The game could also use more audio/visual feedbacks to give it a little bit more oomph.
Hi there thanks for playing! My plan was to have the stats hovering the towers when you clicked them but my code for it was too buggy so I removed it and improvised by placing the tower stats on the extras menu >_< I'll definitely add this feature in the future and maybe even add an easy and hard mode to each level too.
Thanks for the feedback ^-^ It's really appreciated
