nice game! the controls are responsive and the mechanics/goal is easy to understand. this game is developed well and has good replay value, keep it up!
Hey, I like this game! Sometimes when I tried to cut the rope it would go through and not register, which kind of messed with the flow of the game. Overall though, great job, I love the art and application of the theme!
a decent, yet simple game, it takes the theme very literally, which isn't inherently bad, but extremely limits the output of your game, some powerups or screenshake, or even different types of ropes, i think would boost this a lot.
Fun game! I feel a few powerups or level modifiers would be a quick win for adding depth. Are the levels premade or procedural? Good work!
really cool, well polished, i love the postprocessing and glow on your art. super easy game loop and was quickly addictive. not bad :)
That's a really cool and addicting game. The limited palette and 8-bit music also adds that fun retro arcade vibes.
The only real problem is the cut not being detected half of the time, especially if I move my mouse fast. If I had to guess, it's because you're checking for overlap instead of ray tracing from previous to current physics frame, might want to look into that.
Nevertheless, I liked it.
Cutting the ropes seems to only work at the end of each segment. Once I understood that it became a lot more doable, but it's still not very intuitive. Sometimes the white and red orbs spawn on top of a white one, which makes the rope uncuttable without losing a life. Still is pretty fun to play though, keep up the good work!
I couldn't really get the mouse swipes to cut the rope fyi. I ended up just mouse clicking on the ropes and that worked. Seemed like it was going to go on indefinitely as I wasn't losing any lives? I think a count down timer would work well for something like this (kinda like a wario ware micro game)
I like the visal quality of the game. The thumbnail especially looks great. The game was really simple though, wasn't really challenging. The strings were not always responsive when I tried to cut.
This is a fun little game - I felt like the controls could be a bit snappier (I found that if I clicked and dragged quickly over a string then it wouldn't always cut the string properly). Maybe if you did something like "see how many levels you can clear in 30 seconds" to force the player to go really quickly then that could take the game to the next level!
