Fun, well executed mechanics, and lovely music. A cute little concept that has good potential for becoming a full experience. Great job 🦐

Thank you so much for giving our game a try and thank you for all the high praise and sharing it with others. We're thrilled that you enjoyed it

I enjoyed playing this and thought it was a really nice response to the theme :)

Great game, I liked the idea and the execution.

The end credits and the level selection menu are lovely.

Just two nitpicks: jumping in tight spaces is a bit hard, as as soon as you touch a wall Buggi sort of sticks to it, maybe the hitbox should be a little smaller, at least when in midair; in the end there's the question about getting all the stars, it would be nice to add a counter in the levels to keep track of them.

Nice end sequence a nice well rounded first jam good job.

Nice work!  the connection game mechanic is fun.  It seems like the collider was a little larger than the sprite would indicate, only slightly though, but made it a little difficult to get through tight spaces.  Overall though it was fun to play, good job!

A fun and sweet platformer! The main mechanic is simple but catchy and does not get boring until the end of the game. Music is cool, art is cool, and good luck with the future development!

I want to see this to continue development because I could legit buy and play it as a full game. The art is a bit too much on the simple side and lacking animations, but that's forgivable considering the attention put into the actual game play, which is legit fun and engaging.

This is probably my favourite theme mechanic so far. A few different uses for the spirit and you've got a full game. I also loved the playable credits puzzle - maybe I'm just new to this but I hadn't seen that before.

Very nice! Good art and music!

Very good game. I really like the art work and that credits level was perfect minus the music =) Not a fan of that. The jumping felt a little loose. Overall great game! Thank you for sharing.

I like the usage of the theme! It seems very innovative and I like the premise of siblings, one dead and one alive, working together to figure out the mystery of how they came to the currently setting and escape. I like the main characters' designs too! It would be cool to see how the rest of the enviornment with similar assets, as right now, the characters and the environment seem to not mesh well with each other. The controls seemed a bit off, and a few jumps felt hard to do (especially the first jump in level five), but it fit the theme perfectly and I'm looking forward to see what you guys make next!

Cool game! Cool main mechanic and I like the design of the character when they are in the trance mode and you're controlling the ghost. Also liked what you did with trail renderer. My feedback would be that the art feels pretty mismatched. Your strongest design was probably the main character but the environment didn't seem to support that design.

Developer(+1)

That's a fair criticism and results from the fact that we used an asset pack for the background during prototyping just to quickly churn something out.  The line and trail renderers took me a couple days slaving away over a hot Editor, but I'm chuffed to bits with the result; whereas the characters themselves were just placeholder box and circle until more than halfway through the jam.  Reason being, we wanted to focus more on solid gameplay, with the art being polish on top.

For a more-expansive build, we'd definitely remake everything from scratch to unify the style, as you point out.

Interesting usage of the theme!

Very nice game,  fun way to use one player to control two characters.  It fit well with the theme, Good job.

Well done taking that ghost mechanic through its paces. It gave levels an extra dimension and made good use of the two complementary control schemes.
The in-level end credits were a very nice touch at the end, too.

A very fun game ,loved the idea

nice job

One of the coolest ways I've seen this type of idea implemented so far! I really enjoyed being able to control the main character with WASD and moving the ghost with the mouse - something about it felt very harmonious and added to the connection to the theme - nice work.
