This is one of the most professional looking submissions by a long shot. The audio-visual style is going to put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. Definitely in my top 10.
You called it a "prelude" and I hope you make good on that promise by developing this further. Clearly you guys can make a great game.
Thanks, glad to hear it. The aim was certainly to make something with a positive vibe. And I definitely plan to develop it a bit further after the voting, but I think it will still stay a prelude at the moment. I did think of adding a collage of tiny adventure scenes as an ending cutscene and who knows maybe it'll grow into something bigger one day.
Very cute game! Simple little "story", I liked it! The pixel art is amazing and I am also amazed with the amount of animations you made! The music is also nice and relaxing! Well done!
Thanks! Making little animations is probably my favourite part of creating games, it always feels so enjoyable and rewarding to draw those.
This is a very cute and relaxing game. That sassy fox is great. Nice work!
Thank you! And yes, sassy animals are always the best.
Short, but sweet. Really lovely art.
Good work!
Thank you! Appreciate the play and comment.
Super lovable game. Everything its perfect and polished. No more words.
Thank you! It's really cool to see people enjoying it.
What an amazing game! I loved the 90s feel of it. It would've been nice to have some sound effects (some heavily compressed ones, even!) but it still doesn't take away from the fact that it's just a really neat game. A short and sweet little adventure <3
Thank you! The 90s games certainly were an inspiration for this. Yeah, the sound effects were the last things in the to-do list. Sadly, we only had the time to put in a few, but the game definitely needs some more.
This was a great prelude to an adventure ! I don’t know how you managed to put so much beauty in 64x64 pixels, great pixel art ! I also like how your point and click was pixel perfect. Really wish the game was a bit longer. Great work nonetheless !
Thank you for playing and commenting! The AGS engine, while a bit dated in some aspects, is still an excellent tool for creating pixel art games, so that really helped me with the resolution restrictions. I do plan to add bit more content after the voting period and make it a little longer.
Great work, this game looks, feels and sounds amazing. The artwork is so detailled.
Thanks for giving it a go and leaving feedback, much appreciated!
Man... this experience was so wonderful! I wanna join more in this adventure. Haha
A great game... no words to say how I felt myself playing it.
Good job!
Hey! Thanks for playing and commenting! I think it will always stay a prelude to an imaginary adventure, but I'll certainly add some more stuff that you can do and interact with.
Nice! A polished and entertaining little game. Be sure to submit this to the AGS All Games List so they can include it on their site.
Thanks! Sure will! Been a member of the AGS forums for years now and all my other little adventures are up in their database.
Uau! I think this is the most beautiful game I tested this jam. Well done!
Thanks, that's great to hear, since I did put most of my time and effort into the artwork. Should have probably cut a couple of those animations and used that time to implement a few more puzzles.
So sweet and charming quest! A bit sad that it's short, I'll be waiting to continue. I love it.
Thanks for the play! I'm defenitely planning to beef it up a bit after the jam.
Gorgeous graphics and animations. It reminds me of the best of the old Sierra adventure games. The music set the tone nicely as well. Altogether a great job.
Thanks! Old 90s adventure games have certainly influenced my style a lot, I still enjoy playing some of those every once in a while.
That was a wonderful game! The art was really good and the music set the mood perfectly. I enjoyed it so much I was sad when it ended.
Thank you! I am planning to add a bit more content to the game after the voting process, so hopefully there'll be more to enjoy.
This was so great! The puzzles were light and enjoyable and the animations were very detailed. And the attitude on that fox.. loved it!
Thanks a lot! Yeah, I tried to make the fox a bit cheeky :)
Wow! a perfect entry - seriously 5/5 from me in every category. Alot of other adventure games ive played in this jam have relied on heavy dialogue to either tell jokes or get across information. not this game! And that's a really good thing because in 64x64 text should be used really sparingly if at all. The imagery, the animations, and of course the soundtrack all contributed to a short, really well packaged experience!
Really appreciate it! I've always been a bit worried that point and clicks may not be the best choice for short game jams , because it's hard to create as much engaging content or replayability as some other genres, so it's always nice to see that people still enjoy these types of games, even when they're extremely short and basic.
This was cute and beautiful little game. I see you mentioned on the comments about not using text. I think that this would have worked even without item descriptions!
Hey! Thanks for the play. Yeah, you're probably right, but I was kind of afraid that things might get too unclear and confusing if there was no text at all.
Lovely game, you can also pet the fox.
That fox sprite and petting animation was one the first things I did, sparked the rest of the game, I guess.
Absolutely fantastic! I love that you were able to convey everything that was needed without even using voiceovers. Excellent work!
Yeah, this is the first time I tried to make a game without using text to convey actions or goals. Happy to hear that it worked well enough.
Such a great job!!!
PS: =( I want more!!
Thanks! I will probably polish it and add some more content after the voting process. Had to cut a whole bunch of ideas because of the time limits.
