Did you work in a team?
This is a solo game
Was the resolution a challenge?
Creating small sprites is always a challenge. I kept it as simple as I could.
What did you learn?
My focus was on the kicking mechanic because I have a bigger game in mind that will use something similar. I learned a lot in the process, trying to keep things fun without becoming too challenging.

Simple game but still pretty cool, I could imagine playing this to pass the time for a few minutes on my phone.
Thanks!
Loved the mechanics of the leg. Being able to kick at different angles and positions to transfer different inertia to the head. Immediately thought this mechanic could work really well for a multiplayer volley-like game.
Cool nice details:
Thanks efejjota! Glad you liked it.
I added a heavy wah-wah effect to the drum solo and slowed it down so you get this slowly changing distortion. At its heaviest it gives the drums a kind of blowing, windy sound and I think that's what makes it seem like mouth sounds.
Very simple concept executed very well, most satisfying when knocking the head as far up as possible and running around to catch it before the next big kick. More mechanical incentive to play in this manner rather than juggle as low as possible (outside of personal challenge) might have been welcome. Simple visuals remain readable and give a good sense of charm. Oddly fitting music.
Thanks minichibis. Glad you liked it. That's a good observation and one for me to keep in mind for the future. Adding something to aim for at the top of the screen would be a fun addition.
Haha this is amazing. The strength of a minigame is really the feel of it's core mechanic and this feels great, it is really satisfying when you get that perfect kick when the head hits right at the end of your leg. It helps that it's also funny :D
Thank you Mag. Happy you liked it!
This was awesome! Really fun to play and I love the score in the background!
Thanks a lot! The jumbotron is getting a lot of love.
It's funny, I just played a game that had a minigame similar to this yesterday, and here yours is. Yours is considerably better. The bouncing felt just right and I was able to predict accurately where the head would go while planning my shots. This is an excellent example of how you someone can take a simpler concept and really nail the execution.
Thank you so much Kevin. I made this game quite quickly and then I went back and spent about a week reworking and tweaking the head collisions, bouncing and movement. I’m glad I did and I’m very happy you like it.
Great game, i liked the way you used the full background for the count
Cheers! I was happy with that design choice. I didn’t want to tuck it away in the corner like most games so I thought, why not make it as big as possible?
This is quite addictive as is, if you could spice it up with some variation it might become quite something. Good job!
Thanks! This is preparation for something bigger so you may eventually get your wish 🙇
Simple game but very fun to play. Nice one 💪
Thanks a lot!
So much fun! The music and sfx are great, and with the subtle flash for each point make a simple concept feel fantastic to play :)
I love the title so much
Thanks a lot! I'm really happy you enjoyed it
The visuals and sounds are incredibly cohesive. Everything really feels like it fits well.
Super chill game with predictable physics :-)
Thanks Amir! I really appreciate the kind words.
This is what I like to see. The game is simple, and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand it. also very polished. Good gaem
Wow, coming from you that is high praise 😅
Really glad you liked it Arnar.
Love short and fun games like this! Well done :)
Thanks a lot!
Simple, but really good!
Thanks a lot!
Simple, addicting, fun gameplay, and I love the scoreboard in the background
Thanks a lot Bobby!
It's a pretty simple game, yet I found it a bit addicting.
Thanks mkhoi!
Simple game. Could use some more variety. Also neck and chest should collide with the head. It's too easy to gently bounce the head off the hips.
Thanks for the feedback! I chose to focus only on the core leg-bounce mechanic so it's totally fair to say that more could have been done with the rest of the body. The hip bounce always pushes the skull in the x direction so (hopefully) you can't stand still and keep hip bouncing more than a few times. But if you can move around and keep bouncing off the hip without the skull accidentally slipping behind you, that's a skill and a valid playing strategy so good for you.
How about some special timed mutators, e.g. suddenly the head splits into two and you have to bounce both at the same time. Or the head suddenly starts to bounce three times harder for a short period of time. To keep the player on their toes.
Someone suggested that it should grow a new head at 100 points but by the end I had no energy left for it :D Pick-ups would be a good idea for a v2 if that ever happens 👍

It seems basic but I had to constantly predict where the skull would land and lead the kick. A little challenge that makes it a bit addicting, specially when the score resets. I like that it's seemless with no gameover screens or menus
Cheers! I wanted to focus on that small element of gameplay and try to get it working as well as I could without overcomplicating things. Having continuous gameplay without any interruptions was an important part of that. Really happy that those things worked for you.
This is a really well executed idea leading to some pretty fun gameplay. Although it could easily be made more engaging by adding a few more sound effects (e.g. the head bouncing on the walls/floors, a sound effect for every 10 points)
Thanks a lot! There are already sound effects for the wall and floor bounce but perhaps they are a bit low in the mix if you have the volume turned down. A sound effect for every 10 points is a really nice idea.
