Played for roughly 30 minutes. I had fun once I grasped how jumping from web to web worked.

Music was appropriate and not too overbearing. It fit the theme and aesthetic.

The menu was really well done. I loved the game within a game concept. Always a big fan of that when it's well done.

I didn't like how janky it was to hit the buttons. Sometimes I would have the reticle aimed in the middle of it and it wouldn't register. Still, it did work sometimes.

Enjoyed it, though I didn't finish all the way through.

Developer

Thanks for the review and the kind words, as well as the great feedback! It really makes our day and I am happy to hear you could enjoy it. Of course, thank you for playing as well!!

Developer

The button issue is fixed now if you want to give the game another try, id be very happy to hear feedback about the full game if possible, don't feel forced tho! :)

A cool idea with a computer is also very nice to jump on the web

Thank you for playing and commenting!

Hello. You commented on my game so I decided to try out yours. Its really fund but I found a bug where I you went to the main menu and started the game again the timer would be duplicated. If you do this the game also gets a bit choppy but I do think this is very fun. Those are just minor bugs after all. The buttons hit box was fairly dodgy as well.

Developer (1 edit)

Hey! Thank you for reviewing. We added the timer last minute, so it happens to get buggy quite a bit! The buttons were a big problem throughout making the game too, since we just couldn´t get them right. I´m glad you enjoyed our game and had a good time playing!

Submitted

Your welcome. It was a brilliant game and I'd love to see it fleshed out.

Developer

Hey, the button issue is resolved now, feel free to give the game another shot! I´d love to hear your opinion on the game it is intended to be played. No obligations of course!

Submitted(+1)

Ok will do, and I'll give another update as well.

Finally got to finish your game. I loved the little "jumpscare" at the end. I found the puzzles hard at first but once you got going and figured out the controls they were very fun. Brilliant game.

Developer

Thank you so much for taking the time to replay our game! I'm glad you liked the ending!

No problem

well made cyber-style game. I like the small story that creates suspense for the goal.
Limitations and theme are 100% achieved here no doubt.
I played both webs and downloaded version. 👍

Developer

Thank you for playing our game! I´m really glad you enjoyed the story and style of it.

The idea and the visuals are great but I was frustrated at some point since I encountered a few bugs.
Everytime I respawned I wouldn't hang on the wall. I flew through multiple walls, near the blue wall but I never got attached.
Somehow you have a fixed jump height. And by doing so you've to carefully place your webs in the right positions or get to two walls where they're close to each other, so you can jump back and forth to get back to the top again.

I didn't understand the part with the green door/button. It wouldn't work for me or I didn't know how to. Except from that. Great game.

oh and, btw. downloaded version played.

Developer

Thank you for the great feedback and in-depth reply! Sadly the button is currently very hard to trigger, but neither could we reproduce nor find nor fix the issue. The Jump is meant to be more like a leap, mainly horizontal, but I understand that losing height and having to win it back again is frustrating. Thank you for playing and especially a big thanks for downloading it as well.

Developer

Hey, thank you so much for your in depth review! I'm sorry you encountered so many bugs. Did the flying through blue walls occur on every level for you?

The jump height is fixed, so jumping from wall to wall is necessary if you lost too much hight throughout the level, an approach using the camera orientation might have been better in that case, I agree with that.

Every button in a level corresponds to a green door, in order to open the door you need to shoot a net at it. The net needs to stay on the button for the button to be activated. During playtesting we did encounter a few problems with the buttons hitbox, so that mightve also been an issue.

Otherwise, we are glad that you could still enjoy our game. Thank you again for your comment!

Developer

The door/button Issue is fixed now! Feel free to try again if you have the time and are willing to. We would love to have some new feedback, no pressure tho!

I really like this game! Reminded by of Portal with a twist! The movement mechanic around the environment was a lot of fun to use. The timer, which sounds like it was a late addition, is a little too tight on some levels which makes it a little too difficult to complete, at least for me. :-D

Developer(+1)

Initially we didn't have a portal-esque game in mind but during development I also started noticing the resemblance. The timer was indeed added last minute, that's why it gets a little buggy after reaching the minutes. What do you mean by the timer being too tight? There shouldn't be any time limit on the levels, it's purely supposed to track your time playing.

Submitted(+1)

So whenever I would press a button to turn off a green wall, it would flip the switch back again before I could reach the area past the green wall. The first two times it was used, I had enough time, but I think the third time I was getting stuck because I couldn't get to the spot fast enough after retrying it about 15 times. Haha. Totally understandable that there will be bugs and balance issues in a jam like this. You did a really great job with the restrictions and this is probably my favorite entry.

Developer(+1)

Oh, that is definitely not intended! I´m glad you still like the game. Thank you again for playing!

Developer(+1)

The issues with the doors and buttons are fixed now! We would love to hear your feedback on the full game without the frustrating bugs. Feel free to try it!

Submitted(+1)

Nice, I'll check it out after work. I wanted to see the rest of it/any jokes that were in that later. Haha.

Nice game! It was very fun to play, i love the art style .  A simple concept and a NICE excecution! :D

Developer

I'm really glad you enjoyed our game!

Very interesting concept and gameplay loop. Nice visuals as well, 3D is fun

Developer

Thank you! It really is fun to play with a 3rd dimension.

Submitted(+1)

A simple concept with a good excecution! It plays very smooth and jumping from web to web felt very responsive. I also really like what you did with the story.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I´m really glad you like the mechanics and the story. If I may ask, did you play the WebGL version or the downloadable one?

Submitted(+1)

I played the downloaded version

Submitted(+1)

Good game, but I also broke it (Flew into the sky and climbed out of the walls)

Developer

Thank you for playing! I must´ve missed a collider there.

Submitted(+1)

I loved the colours and the concept is really good, I felt like you moved a  bit fast from web to web but I played the WebGL version not sure if it was due to that.

Developer(+1)

The WebGL version isn´t the most reliable when it comes to speed and movement. It also fails to play videos which are important to the aesthetic. If you want to experience the full game the way it was intended I would recommend downloading the full version. Thank you a lot for your comment!

Submitted(+1)

Concept is real intresting. But I couldn't enjoy it fully because of double timers (one timer is recovering another and you can't understand how much time are you  playing I wanted to add also it in my game but I had the same bug haha but I deleted this feature) and I fell under a floor after a few levels. But game is realy nice and I really enjoyed these few levels. Maybe someday we'll make a game together if you want of course :), but now I have to improve my skills of programming to next level. Good luck!

Developer

Thank you for your nice feedback! Yeah, we added the timer last minute and only found out about the bug after the deadline. It still kind of works (except for the milisecond deisplay) so I suppose it´s better than no timer in the game at all. Falling under the level bounds usually shouldn´t happen either so it sucks that you ahd to restart there! We´re really glad you like the game. Also, did you play the WebGL version or the downloadable one? Since WebGL doesn´t support the Unity Video Player well some of the main content isn´t being displayed. I hope you can improve your programming skills to a level you´re satisfied with. Good luck to you too!

Submitted(+1)

I played the Downloadable one.

Developer

Hey! We fixed  a big bug with the doors and buttons now. I would love to hear your opinion on the full game!

Submitted(+2)

Cool concept! I like how you can make your own way!

Developer

Thank you for the comment, I really appreciate it.

Submitted(+1)

Cool and fun game. Unfortunately it seems that jumping through green checkpoint thing is impossible. I hit some wall every time I try.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing the game! The green wall was supposed to be opened with a button opposite of it, the button can be hard to trigger though, since it sometimes doesn`t register the web.

Submitted(+1)

I did find the button, but for some reason I fall off a web after I do so.

Developer

The button is now fixed! It triggers by shooting your net on it from afar, there might still be comlications if you're on the sam net as the one on the button. Please fell free to give us some more/new feedback if you want to! (please dont feel pressured if you dont wanna play/comment again)

Fun!

Enjoyable puzzler with nice style!

Developer

Thank you for playing our game! Sadly the WebGL version is a bit buggy with the Unity video player so I would recommend playing the downloadable version if you haven´t already!

I did download it and didnt encounter that many bugs there.
Only the bg music got a bit repetitive after some time :D

nice glowy visuals.

Thank you for the review!

Good concept ! A bit buggy

Developer

Hey thanks for the comment! Did you play the Web version or did you download it? The web version ended up really buggy for some reason, the downloadable one should be almost completely fine though!

Developer

We fixed a big bug concerning the buttons now! It would be amazing to hear your feedback on the new fixed version! Feel free to try it out if you have some free time.
