That was super cool, I had a lot of fun with it, although it was quite short. That was absolutely no problem :)

Fun game with nice visuals! I also like how overtly-cheerful the music is.

I really liked the visual representation of the theme here; your failures having a visible change to the game world is an extremely good effect while ALSO giving letting you mark a sort of safe path through the clouds. Also really liked the sun drop mechanic here; it still pushed you towards that one, perfect hitless run while remaining true to the limitation. Fantastic work!!

Hey, just wanted to say I'm loving the gamepage - it really sets the vibe and gets you pumped up before starting the game! And big shoutout to much peachysam for the awesome soundtrack - it was so upbeat and fitting! The game itself was super cute and simple, which made it really relaxing to play - I wasn't getting too frustrated or anything. In the end, I managed to get 10 sun drops in 236 time - not too shabby, considering I made a few mistakes along the way. All in all, great job on the game!

Developer

I appreciate you playing and leaving such a nice comment! I'll forward your love of Peachysam's soundtrack to him! He was a total bro and offered to make me a track after helping me playtest during the jam :)

Really well implemented idea for the concept.
Also the music is pretty cool I gotta say.

I love the amount of vines that end up all over the screen, it looks like some kind of Lovecraftian horror

Developer

Thank you! I spent a lot of my time making those work and look good. I’m definitely going to reuse that mechanic in future games, Lovecraftian would be sick!!

I loved the style and the concept, sometimes it bugs and the flower is gone for a bit, but overall I enjoyed it very much :D

I liked your game. his art style is very beautiful

The game is great, I like how there is a small cloud gap at the start between two sundrops, so you can get them in your first try, on second try you can get up to 4 if you avoid getting hit and only finishing the half of the sundrop(that needs some petals?). On 3rd try you can finish the sundrop at the start and probably get to the 6th one. Also if you avoid getting hit you can reach the end on the 6th sundrop. Needless to say the artstyle looked really cool, especially the effects on the clouds. The design is great, taking in count that there is a timer i might assume it was meant to be completed as fast as possible, so yeah I did exactly that and my best score was 87 seconds.

Developer(+1)

It makes me happy you've tried optimizing it lol! I put the timer there because I thought some people may like trying to beat their time but you definitely have the fastest time I have seen! I appreciate the kind words and thanks for playing!

Very sick game, art style was really vibrant and I loved the affect of reaching the top makes it get darker and darker, my only suggestion wouldve been to make each playthrough unique, such as generating random maps, however the overall product is very good, steering mechanics worked very well, reminded me of some rage games where people would get trapped and have to start all over again, great job!

Developer

Improving the replay-ability is a great idea. I love the idea of randomly generated levels but for this Jam I thought one would be plenty, hoping everyone could reach the end! It would make a great rage game too I bet

Really enjoyable game, my favourite of the jam so far. The only thing I didn't like was that higher up I felt like I was spending more time traveling to where I just was, rather than actually playing the game, but was still very fun :D

A nice take on the classic Snake-type formula. I really enjoyed the steering controls, and the graphical effects were very cool.

A simple and original concept. I like the aesthetic. The music fits the game very well. Also love how the dead flowers remain, it's very satisfying.

Submitted(+1)

Great concept! The aesthetic is great, the movement feels really good, it's challenging but not impossible and it's super satisfying seeing the mess of vines left behind from previous playthroughs. Awesome job!

Submitted(+1)

My Time: 230, so cool that the dead flowers dont despawn.

Submitted(+1)

The feeling of this game is great! Good music, engaging visuals, and the movement is satisfying to pull off but not too harsh on mistakes! I love it.

I really like the style of the game, very chill! It's a nice touch, that you can see your preious attempts!

One of the best presentations with the most polish out of the entire jam!

Thank you for this game, great job :)

Well polished game! i love the music and the lightings that fades out the other stuff when the camera moves. My time was 279 lol.

Fantastic game! Really enjoyed being able to follow my past selves to guide me up to the sun :)

Developer

Glad you liked it! I had fun implementing the trails :)
