awesome game! I like the graphics and the smoothness of the animation and the controls, I would like to play this again, but as the rules imply, once a day to play only. Interesting gameplay ! congratulations! keep it up!
I'm not sure I like the once per day mechanic but that's maybe juste my opinion.
The art and the level design are amazing thow, and the movements are really neat.
Really nice game !
Yeah I think it's a mechanic that will divide a lot of people on opinions of it for sure. It's pretty brutal and something I'd have to think very carefully about if I wanted to develop the game further. Thanks for playing! :D
imho that mechanic is there because it’s applying the limitation. I mean, you can’t judge the game negatively because of that, in fact it’s an original way to use the limitation and it should be rewarded. Anyway, in these jams there are always limitations. That’s the whole point, right?
Usually I don't comment second time, but now I need to: I FINALLY FINISHED IT!!!
Amazing! Thank you for giving it another go! :D
I really enjoyed your game. The once per day mechanic is a very bold and interesting concept, making me way more carful flapping through the levels. The controls felt nice, though I sometimes felt a little out of control mid air. The visual style was really nice and refreshing.
Thank you! Yeah it can get pretty intense in there. The controls are something I'd really like to make spot on if I was to work on the game further as if they're not then it makes the once per day thing a lot more frustrating haha.
Once per day is a bold move! Very cool game, the flapping felt good and I dig the aesthetic. :)
Yeah, I'm still on the fence as to if it was a good idea or not haha. Thank you very much for playing! :D
I easily made it through the first two levels but tripped up on the other two. The waiting mechanic is good, but I feel like there should be less time and maybe something else people could do to speed it up.
Yeah I totally agree. Stuff to do while the levels are destroyed is something I’ve been thinking about quite a bit as well. I haven’t come to any great ideas yet but it’s certainly something I believe I’d need to solve if I worked on the game further. Thank you for playing and the feedback :)
Nothing better than flapping your wings to fly!
One flap closer to freedom with every flap!
Wow! Loved this one!! The art and design was cohesive and beautiful and the use of the limitation, while brutal, was fantastic!! Awesome work! :D
Thank you for the kind words! :D
I really enjoyed the art style and sounds! As far as controls go, I felt the movement left/right was a bit touchy. I ended up using walls to slow my movement in a few instances. Gameplay was simple but effective, but would've liked more chances! Nice work!
haha I actually found this while developing that in a few instances the walls could be used to more easily control/stop the horizontal movement and get to places. It felt good when I stumbled across it as it felt like I had found a sort of secret advantage in the game, so decided to leave it in and see if anyone else did it too. So it’s interesting it’s come up. I think if I worked on the game further then polishing and perfecting the controls would have to be super high priority in a game like this for sure. Thanks for giving it a play! :)
Very creative! I love the once per day restriction, it adds a lot of tension. Although it did make dying frustrating! :)
Thank you! Yes very high tension indeed haha. While I was developing I had a debug key to manually reset and reopen the levels so I could test stuff faster but then when I actually played the release version and could no longer rely on my debug function to reopen the levels it got very intense very quickly haha.
Super cool concept. I very nearly cleared the first 4 levels with enough stuff to continue. Check out my review of your game at https://www.twitch.tv/scalphamission
Dang that was very intense watching you navigate through the levels, narrowly dodging the dangers haha. Thank you so much for giving it a go, much appreciated!
Everything is perfect in this one. Congratulations!
Thank you so much!
I loved the art style for this game! Also - the controls were snappy, dynamic and interesting. They felt well oiled. The difficulty felt pretty good.
The once-a-day mechanic honestly I didn't mind. But that's because I cleared my cookies to play the game through again xD
Haha yes that’s one way to do it! :D I mentioned this in another comment as well but when I was developing I also had a way to manually reopen the levels with a debug key so wasn’t too afraid of dying, but it all got so much more intense when I played the release version and could no longer rely on my precious debug key haha.
Thanks for playing! :)
This game is really fun and STRESSFULLL, just like the jam.
True words! Thank you for playing :D
This Game Is Super fun! The once per day thing is a tad rough, thrice per day might be better.
Yeah it's pretty punishing, I tried experimenting more with multiple chances with the omegas and the last level but it's a bit half designed at the moment haha. Thanks for giving it a go and commenting! :D
It's a very good game actually, but the controls are hard and if you fail u have to come and play another game to get a CHANCE
Yeah it's too hard at the moment for sure haha pretty punishing. Thanks for trying it out! :D
I loved everything in this game, the once-per-day system, Greek pottery style graphics, cute sound, and the title pun!
I will try beating other stages tomorrow.
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it :)
This was so intense! I got every collectible and won without dying, but I held my breath (figuratively) the entire way. I love the art style, and the animations are so smooth. Amazing job!!!
It's pretty tough so I'm super impressed someone actually got all the way through haha.
Thank you for playing and commenting, it means a lot!
