Beautiful little game.
Beautiful little game.
Very cute nice game.
Nice visual, the use of sound effects and music really fit well and The game is nice and enjoyable.
Nice atmosphere, Music is relaxing. Had quite a bit of fun.
I got lost more often then i'd like to admit it.
Anyways , good work.
Everything in this game is gorgeous!
The lamp concept was genius! Great job!!!
The concept is interesting and the visuals are amazing ! Great job !
Originally I imagined a similar concept like this for this jam! I liked that this got fulfilled by someone for this jam. Definitely has potential for a full fledged game. The art style is cute as well :D
I love the art. The mechanic is simple but has a lot of potential. I wish there was a little more gameplay, but the aesthetics really make up for it here. Nice job!
I also wish there was a little more gameplay...
The problems with game jams is there is just so little time for course corrections. I wish I could have fixed some of the issues with the main game loop. Sigh.
Glad you liked the aesthetics - I think our artist and sound guy really hit this out of the park.
This is a great theme interpretation haha.
Let me just say the art, sfx, and overall mood really stuck out to me. The player's animations are so adorable, especially when shining their light. The pool of oil and the accompanying sfx are also really nice and add a lot to the otherwise dark and mysterious scene.
I also really appreciate how simple yet clear the minimap is - it doesn't distract from the art at all. In fact, the entire UI takes a very refreshing, minimalist approach that really leaves my eyes free to wander the screen and appreciate what's going on. Though it would be nice if the minimap indicated which rooms had oil, even if that was just a green pixel in the middle of the room's square.
Footstep sfx are also really nice, and their echo adds to the feeling of emptiness. If anything, I wish there were more sfx - like a soft, warm buzzing when shining your light, or some quiet swoosh for when enemies are reduced to dust and darkness - just to immerse the player even more into the otherwise quiet world.
This is really well put together! I think the game's many elements all come together in a really nice way. Congrats!
Thanks for this! There is actually is a death sound for the enemies but clearly it isn't anywhere loud enough so thanks for the feedback!
It's amazing how the idea similar to mine and yet it feels so different, really liked the dynamic lights. Btw the art is 10/10, that's some fine pixelart!
Nice survival!
Very nice art and atmosphere. I really like the design of the player character.
I found the enemies overwhelmed me very quickly and I was just taking a few steps at a time before holding my attack and hoping there was a refill point near. If there wasn't I would backtrack to my last one to be safe. It would be nice to have some more enemies or different attacks, but for 3 days it was grand.
Thank you for sharing your game.
Such a nice little game :) I would've liked a main goal or items to collect to add more depth while looking for others wells. That said I enjoyed some runs, congrats :)

Very well polished!
Great art, sound design and interesting mechanic, you guys rock, i only miss there was more objectives or mechanics to accompany the main gameplay but this is way too nice for 3 days
Looks good, sounds good, and a great use of the theme with the limitation.
Perfect music, sounds and gorgeous art. The mechanic is also really unique and something i haven't seen before. However, i think the game is too difficult, because there are always enemies and if you see them you just have to stop. Of course this is just a game jam but i would love to see a more thought-through version of this in the future. I hope my feedback helped you, and if you have the time it would be nice if you could check out my game too. Thanks! :)
