Great submission! The puzzles were cool and had a good variety of challenges, like  the springs, bats, keys, and switches. Also the game is very polished and cute.

Developer

Thanks! :)

Fun game! I liked the intro story level too that was clever. I'll echo others comments about the respawn time but apart from that I enjoyed it.

Developer

Thanks!!
Yes, I'll definitely have the respawn time reduced after the evaluation week ends.

Bro that was sick.U will not believe how many times I died just because I wanted diamonds.

Wow, great game! I really had a lot of fun, the puzzles were awesome!
I think the fast-paced action of level 5 was my favorite though, the thinking on my feet to find a path out felt so good, I just wanted to keep doing that haha!
I usually try to come up with some criticisms or constructive feedback, but you really nailed exactly what you were going for here, awesome work!

Thanks!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The puzzles, music, and SFX were all really well done. My only real complaint is that the respawn animation is too long.

In Godot, when you're using pixel art, disable the "filter" in the image's import settings to prevent them from being blurred when you zoom in or scale them up.

Developer

OMG, I just did the fix on my computer as you said, that was so easy to fix! I'm quite new at Godot and I didn't know about that filter setting on the import tab. Thanks!!

Unfortunately I can't upload the fix during the evaluation week, but I know now how to make it look better after it ends :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Developer

Regarding the respawn time, yes, others have mentioned the same thing, I'll definetly make it shorter after the evaluation week ends. Thanks for the feedback!

Wow really fun game! I've been playing for a while now and can't get past level 7, i've almost cracked it! Really well polished and i love the little jingle :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks!! If you want to take a pick on how to beat the lvl 7, check this stream Corgibits did on my game yesterday: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/720146458?t=01h29m03s

Also, you can check corgibits game here if you want: https://corgibits.itch.io/goblin-king

I had a lot of fun playing this. The polish in the menus and overall experience was really great. Only thing is the sprites became blurry for me during any zoom-ins (although, i'm not sure if this is just a problem on my end).

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

I think you see them blurry because of the rescaling of the pixelated art, I'll keep that in mind next time to see if I find a way to improve it. Thanks!

Developer

mclabs15 just showed me how to fix the blurry pixels when zooming in, it was a super easy fix that I didn't know :) unfortunately I can't upload the fix during the week of evaluation, but I'll certainly upload the fix after it ends!

It feels really complete and was a lot of fun to play. Did you make it with godot?

Developer

Thanks! Yes, I did it with Godot, I'm quite new at it and I learned a lot from creating this game, it's a great engine!

Very good polished game! Super enjoyed it when I played on stream. Asset usage was kinda basic but the gameplay and audio was great so well done :D Super super fun with the transitions and overall game.

Developer

I just saw you playing my game on stream, that was amazing, thanks!! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

I really loved this game and the ending is so cute :P Only think id change is a shorter respawn animation. This could easily be a retail indie game given a few more levels. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!! Yes, others have mentioned the respawn time, that's definetly something I'll have to adjust. I'm glad you enjoyed it. BTW, nice work going trough all 10 levels! :)

Submitted(+1)

Is your profile picture a teaser for level 10? ;)

Developer(+1)

LOL, well, my profile name is "Pato Ingeniero", spanish for "Engineer Duck" so yes, I had to have ducks on my game somewhere!

Submitted(+3)

Very well made game with good sound design and puzzle design. Just a well rounded and well polished game! Only gripe was that it took a bit long to respawn after dying, but that's minor.

Developer(+1)

Thanks!! Regarding the respawn time I see what you mean, I'll have that in mind :)

Submitted(+2)

This is one of the more complete feeling games I have seen submitted so far, excellent work!

Developer

Thanks!! :)

Super polished and loved the camera work you did, your attention to detail really shows!

Developer

Thanks :)
