Such fun game, font is confusing and hard to read but gameplay was interesting i like how you made multiple enemies

great game

Developer

thank you for the feedback, in hindsight I agree, the menu design sucked and is one of the things I need to work on. I thought the font was cool and didn't think much else past that. Thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed!

Submitted

Really nice game. Very innovative and fun. Well done:)

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted

Very polished and a lot of fun

Developer

Thank you, glad I made something people could enjoy!

Submitted

The game is solidly great. I think you could've gotten more creative with the use of the assets, but that's okay to me.

Developer

thank you I'm glad you enjoyed it! You're right I totally could've done more with the assets but I ended up running out of time before I could really spice up the tile set or add some gruesome hybrid enemies. That's just a part of game jams though. Thanks for playing!

Submitted

Very well made that was super fun  to play.

Developer(+1)

thanks for the high praise!

Submitted

This was really fun to play, the blood/flesh concept was great and I also love the stats and spells upgrade system! Overall a great game!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it thanks for playing! I had a lot of fun making it

Submitted

Design wise this is great, art wise this is great, and overall it's great. Great!

Developer

Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted

I liked the concept of loosing energy at every step and restarting every time. It was very interesting and the power ramp up was really engaging.

I broke out of the cycle in 10 deaths!

Developer

Congrats on breaking the cycle! I'm glad you enjoyed my game, it's really encouraging for me to make more

Submitted

You did such a great job with the artwork, this is probably the most polished submission I've seen!

Developer

Wow, thanks for the high praise! I am surprised and flattered!

Submitted

games with a upgrades are always a lot of fun. And this one is as well.
I love the dark theme it worked really well.

The combat didn't always work for me. The fact that shooting hurts the player caused that I killed myself by shooting more then once. But that could be just me.

overall a very polished and well done game.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Perhaps in hindsight I just could've made it so you couldn't shoot when at low health instead of being able to kill yourself. Glad you enjoyed it though!

Submitted

Really neat concept. A bit larger world and I could see myself lose many hours a day playing.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I'm going to try to learn procedural generation so I can make it a rogue-lite with some persistent elements

Submitted

I love the aspect that everything stays the same even when you die. The overall look and feel of the game also fit very well. The only thing that is missing is some spooky, eerie music. Besides that amazing entry and well done :D.

Developer

There was music but apparently my headphones are significantly louder than everyone else's so I accidentally made all the sound in the game way too quiet LMAO glad you enjoyed though!

Submitted

It's an awesome concept, your flesh falling off as you go. Dig it. Also, I absolutely love that your blood trail is left behind and you can follow that back to where you were. If it was just a regular line or trail guiding you back I think I'd say that'd be weird and possibly too hand-holdy but because it fits so well thematically I just love that as a mechanic. Outstanding game, even if I suck at it.

Developer

I really liked the blood trail mechanic too so I'll probably continue developing the concept into a larger game. I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted

I loved the game man :D

Developer

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted

I really enjoyed it. So cool game but actually saving player progres would be nice.

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it! The not saving your progress was intentional so that the player would track through their own blood again, but after discussing it with people I've gotten suggestions of much better ways it could have been handled. Oh well, shows the importance of brainstorming with other people

Submitted

Enjoyed it! The starting text I thought was funny and set the tone well. Got the final boss with Explosion which was satisfying. Like the bleeding as you move idea, especially with explosion - definitely the coolest skill I think.

Good job!

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it! I might have slightly overtuned the explosion because I liked the concept so much, don't tell anyone

Submitted

I love the style of this game. Super creative. And the movement mechanic being restrictive is really clever. I also really enjoyed the death screen lobby music! This already feels like it could be a release-ready game!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was thinking of developing it into a full game after the jam ended, I got quite a few more ideas

Developer

I don't know how to disable the debug console in godot yet unfortunately! Those aren't game breaking bugs just cause my code got a bit messy towards the end and not everything is loaded at the correct time.

Submitted

Not a problem! I know how that goes XD

I really liked your game. It has great potential to be a fun roguelite if you ever keep working on it!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

It has a few fundamental flaws that I would need to maneuver around if I were to develop it past a jam game (for example the fact that the map needs to be static so that the blood is persistent), but your encouragement makes me want to continue!

I might change it to a Metroidvania-style game instead as that fits the persistent world idea.

Submitted

I had a lot of fun with this!  Took me 7 cycles.   :)

Developer

Congrats! I'm glad you had fun with it. I'mma check out your game it looks sweet

Submitted

Thanks!  I hope you like it!
