Paper Mario spiritual successor? PauseChamp
Great game with a lot of ideas, its nice to see everything working together cohesively. Cute art.
Really cute game. Love the paper popup visuals and the gameplay loop of collecting/platforming and then using the gathered topics as responses in a stream setting. ("Camila" and "Anny" were the most effective in my run.) The scuff isn't so bad, though the platforming segment is a bit difficult to control because of the camera. Fun and replayable!
Looks cute and is quite fun to play. Reminds me of Paper Mario. Good job.
Very good replayability, I enjoyed it a lot. Camera is a bit weird to control
The mix of 3D and 2D is pretty unique, I liked it
Apart from the camera bug, it plays really well
Pretty ambitious! Feels like the game consists of multiple parts, each with their own merits to them. Collecting the memories in the 2d/3d environment was fun, and streaming sequence was really well put together. Great job!
Extremely cute art style and high replayability. Loved it!
On the technical side, the game started in windowed mode for me, and without outside tinkering I didn’t found a way to make it fullscreen. The game screen didn’t capture the mouse, so I had trouble controlling the camera. I also managed to fall into some buildings (roofs), and if I used the scroll wheel on the cards at the chat section, all of the cards disappeared. I’m just mentioning these as otherwise this was a really nice game.
Also a feature request: since it’s made in Godot, you should be able to export it to the web, though I do see you’re using FMOD for some sound related things.
FMOD is the exact reason why we can't build a web version lol.
I love the paper mario aesthetic, although the camera and collisions are a little bit weird sometimes. I also like the part with the twitch stream which feels very polished!
I love it
I like the chat interaction, i felt just like nwero
also, the lighting got really funky after the first round
Very fun!
Pop-quiz as the stage end for 3D platformer using answers that you found is a cool idea — it's a really smart spin on the simple "find X out of X to progress/win" trope.
A great game; only issue is the cursor bumping to the edge of the screen and locking the camera.
Just one small hotfix and it's solid :)
Thanks for playing!
A future patch is planned to fix some bugs/issues that slipped through the net/were introduced in the last minute panik. The cursor escaping the window was noticed, but we had only 4 minutes until the deadline... Whoops
Awesome!! Basically what the previous commenter said: amazing concept, I loved it when I could pick from Neuro's catchphrases to answer questions. I wish the viewer count / chat feedback was more noticable in regards to what I picked.
The running around sections were really jarring, more playtesting and adjustments are required: the speed, distance and range of the camera, speed and jumping range of neuro, etc. It was also quite a bit laggy on my laptop.
Extra point for a Godot project. Rating it high in hopes that Vedal will get to check it out.
I'd be excited to see this game be fully fleshed out and polished!
Also PLEASE add screenshots to the post so more people notice and play your game!
Thanks for the feedback and for playing!
There was more feedback in the form of some sfx during the card play, however in the very final build (with 2 minutes to the deadline...) these somehow got detached... We had some other Neuro sprites too to switch between, but I think they got lost in the final rush. Both of these have since the submission been addressed and corrected. We'll be posting an updated version once voting has ended I'm sure.
Camera could definitely do with further tweaks, but as with most game jams, time was our enemy, and tackling both 2D and 3D in the same game was a challenge.
I like the game concept where I have to find the memories in a 3d environment and then use them in the live stream to find the best answers to each question. The only problem was the camera.
Thanks for playing! The camera is a bit finicky, but time got the best of us. We'll try to address that in a future patch once voting ends
