Great game! It's very charming and the level design is really good too. Bummer that I only noticed there were lives after I lost all of them hahaha but that's on me, of course.

I 'm really glad it has pretty good controls. The low resolution sometimes makes tweaking the controls kinda difficult, but they felt really good.

One of the best games I've played, surely will be among the top ones. Well done!

After dying a few times, I tried it again today. It is really hard, especially level 15 (you die if you don't move fast enough, you die even if you beat it because the door animation takes too long) - that's the furthest I got. Nonetheless, this is a very well-made game, good graphics, great ideas. I thought the secret lives were awesome! Looks like a winner-game to me.

Honestly, quite a fun yet tight platformer! Simple and effective, I quite enjoyed playing it

Fun little platformer!  Feels well thought out and implemented. I like how you've kept the visuals really consistent  and clear too. Good work

Loved it, well put out platformer !

Gravity Shift was fun! I really enjoy simple platformers with ever-increasing difficulty like this. Movement feels tight and the overall design philosophy was solid in my opinion.

Really similar to last year’s winner, but I guess that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Simple and responsive!

Incredible game, from the way to use the jam theme to the level progression. Two super positive points, the first was the simplification of the controls because unfortunately people want to use the 12 allowed buttons and the game was simplistic and straight to the point. and the other was the progression of difficulty which was gradual.

I'll probably play it again after the jam more calmly.

Was fun to play it. 62 deaths and about 5 attempts.

it was perfect perfect down to the last minute details

Really good, it was a lot of fun! It could be 100% a Nokia 3310 game! Nice implementation on those secret areas, it surprised me.

👏 Congrats! It's VVVVV on a Nokia3310! How do you think the limitations of the Nokia screen resolution influenced the overall design and aesthetics?

Developer

Thanks! The gravity mechanic was used to try and maximise the play area since the screen is so small, I could use both floors and ceilings in the gameplay. For the aesthetics I wanted all elements to be simple and clear to the player.

Nice game! I liked the gravity-flipping mechanic, it's very nicely implemented here unlike in many other gravity based games. The controls feel very responsive and the small levels are quite difficult which makes them more fun.

Pretty good. The controls are responsive, the visuals are clear, and the level design is quite nice and flows well.

Awesome Game, fun to play and the resolution is perfect it fits the size nicley. good level design. I love the idea of the secret tiny areas. But being very very strict, the opening of the secret places has this transparency, and trancpyrency actually means the colors change, so black turns into a lighter black, then a even lighter until its grey, This is a very small detail, but maybe the entire game could be taken down, I hope not. Good job :)

Thanks for the comments! I updated the game to remove the fade! Thanks for the heads up :)

This game kinda reminds me of "VVVVVV" or the last year winner of the Nokia Jam "Fast Jump Slow Jump" Which are both grate games. So great minds meet ! Really great simplistic art style. The kind of thing you're not surprised to find in a game jam but that really sticks with the main theme, Nokia 3310. Along that, the game feel is really good as the controls are easy to handle and the movement is really nice and fluid, which is rare for a game with a so small resolution ! That almost makes me want to speedrun. Great job !
