phenomenal story!

Awesome imagery, well done setting the scene and the drama. I would have loved more action, but that's so hard with a sci Fi setting where set up is important. Was that Eric's father at the end???

Very well told and some great imagery!

What an absolute vibe. I wonder what happened to ole Eric. Totally in love with this down right bad ass origin story and its consequences on the daemon population.

HELL YEAH, Eric the deamonslayer. I really loved how you built up the characters and showed their emotion right to the pinnacle of the story.

Wonderful writing, with a narrative that was perfect for the word limit of the contest. I felt like the vocabulary used at times was clinging on a bit too closely to that of 40k, and certainly could have used a quick pass over to revise those terms out. I also didn't see too much adherence to the theme, though I had also felt the theme itself was rather vague, so I'm not judging that area too harshly. Overall, I loved your work!

This is a well-written story with very good prose Nice work!

Great use of vivid battle descriptions. The story sticks well to the grimdark theme, and the heroic sacrifice hits the right emotional notes. The narrative was engaging, though a bit complex at times. Nice work!

I enjoyed this story a lot, and I found it well-written and cohesive. The way you chose to frame the story as a trial anchored it very strongly! After I finished it, though, I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd just read a Warhammer 40K story, and I would have liked to see it a bit more clearly placed in the GDF universe.

Kinda thought the tale would involve a dog/wolf....but nicely done

Kinda wanted to see a Wolf Brothers tale that isn't heavy into 40k lore. A good saga though, wolf brother. Keanu Wick be proud!
