Description
I used FL Studio, I stuck to what was included with FL Studio by default in terms of sounds. I focused more on the function of each track in the game (probably to my detriment). I tried to keep things short and simple. I'll reserve my own judgement until after I get feedback (I do need better headphones, I will say that much).

Hey... Isn't it a cool mix of ambient, electronics, strings and... space?

The only thing I think it would be nice to fix is the rhythm in the Boss theme... it sounds a little loud, heh

Thanks!

Interesting, very experimental but very creative, never heard something like that.

Really like the simplicity in your tracks, also the beat in track 3 is cool :) Nice work!

I'll echo a lot of other comments here - you've got a great base to grow from here, and these tracks would benefit from a bit more development of melody and arrangement. But they sound good and clearly you've got a good ear for video game music!

From one composer who started with stock FL Studio plugins to another - nice work!

I fully respect the angle to fucus on how the music works in game! I find that to be a very important aspect of how I compose for this Jam personally so I relate to others that do the same!

I think something to work on would just be to add more to each track. They feel a bit empty as is. It might be an issue with the mixing but I also think its the lack of a good percussive line. I think the first track is the best one because it had the most interesting percussion and a solid bassline so it felt more "full" than the other 2.

While the guitar melody in "Overworld" is nice, I felt the song would've been improved if you had developed the melody a bit more beyond simple modal changes. I enjoyed the bass melody in the middle transition. The bass and synth arpeggios are nice elements.
I felt like the chord progressions and its rhythm in "Tension" could provide the basis for a really cool song, but IMO it could use some percussive and/or melodic elements.

"Boss" had a nice rhythm and the echo on the high pitched pluck was a cool effect.

I liked the chord progression in "Tension", my favorite track of the bunch. These tracks are a great base, but I think they could use some melodies to make them more memorable. Good job!

The third track is very catchy! Well done for this jam!

These are great! You got some great hooks in here and each track is not only super catchy but really sonically interesting. Would love to hear these take off a little more, especially that last track! Well done!

Simple and effective tracks, great quality overall!

My favorite was by far the first track, I was honestly going crazy when the bass breakdown happened. Genuinely really good for just using stock FL plugins, keep it up (i see the vision) <3

Simple but effective tracks. I liked the Boss Theme especially, very dark and dancey, I wanted more! Good work on these.
