End Of A World - God, I love this vocal mixed with a beautiful melody and a build-up of dynamics...
Hold Your Ground - Hey! Now that sounds COOL! (I danced a little to it, heh)
the build up and payoff in the first song is amazing, and the second song is a banger!!!!!
The vocal synths were really great! I thought they were real voices at first!
Very solid work with "End of a World." The instrument choice, chord progression and overall feel of the song is lovely. It builds up nicely and has a strong finish.
"Hold Your Ground" has a great rhythm to it. The breakdown at 1:50 is great, and keeps the energy of a battle theme while still changing things up enough to keep the song moving. The revisiting of the melody from your first track is well done, and as much as that same melody gets repeated in this song, it's catchy and I never really got tired of it. The guitar chords and high strings that come in for the "chorus" sections at 1:22 and 3:12 do a nice job of supporting each other. I'm definitely going to have this stuck in my head all day.
Nice job overall!
SynthV :] Goddammit, you pulled a switcheroo on me
End of A World is such a sad yet beautiful, the humming lullaby adds so much emotion, and texture to the main melody
Hold Your Ground is melodically driven, suitable as a battle theme, it needs more variation and different styles (groove, arrangement, solo and stuff) to bring the best out of it
There is so much potential to explore in music and story writing too, I would like you to continue and give me more.
PS - I would like to remix this someday, it is too cool to pass it :]]
Thanks for listening! The battle theme does need a bit of work, I kind of added it in last minute since the first track wasn't quite 3 minutes long... I plan on redoing the mix/master (and maybe just straight up rewriting Hold Your Ground) after the jam and would be happy to send you the stems once I've done that!
At first I thought the first track was the soundtrack from Gris, very similar! Good vibes~ ϵ( ‘Θ’ )϶
Cool voice synth, works really well. The bass synth was a bit a strange and unsettling choice x)
2nd track was way more uplifting and fun!
I agree with iHoist's comment in that the mixing threw me off at first, but by the 2nd half of the first song, I was invested! The gradual buildup made for an explosive energy that was carried into the 2nd song and refined. Well done!
This submission caught me off guard with how it grabbed my attention. I enjoyed listening to how the first piece evolved from the intro's calm ambience giving way to a lovely hybrid-orchestral buildup, all with these beautiful vocals over it. Then the second piece came with more intense and electronic sounds, but still keeping that orchestral core and those vocals. While the mixing and sound curation could use some work, the creativity and composition are very nice and overall I like the submission. Great job! :D
I enjoyed the first track a ton, and how different the second one way, but still felt rooted in the same "sound world" I guess. Good submission!!!
not at all what i was expecting, but in a good way! pleasantly surprised for sure. both of these songs were great, good job!
