Description
goodbye world is an electronic soundtrack made with FL Studio. There are three tracks with a runtime of 5-6 minutes.

goodbye world was inspired by the soundtracks of Undertale, Omori, and Octopath Traveler. It all started with the melodies for each song and the idea of complementing orchestral sounds with synths. As well as the concept of being underwater and the deeper you go, the less you hear of "real" sounds.

Message from the artist
Hi! I wanted to thank you for taking a look and I hope you enjoy. :DD

--goodbye world's tracks--
1. before the living

The introduction to goodbye world where you are under a starry night then you are taken to another world. Its about the initial whimsy of it all with a hint of uncertainty. Then you realize how fantastical it all is, only for loneliness to creep in. As you are the only one who knows of this world.

2. brave the dark

The main character has woken up in a cave filled with mysterious beasts who occupy its walls and pits. He must evade them and make an escape. During his escape, he encounters mystery after mystery. There is no explanation only creeping dread.

3. what was lost

This track is typically played every time with when the main character is recollecting, reminiscing, or grieving. It ends with a hopeful tone which makes the next time lighter than before. As you as you remember what was lost, you can move forward.

The second song felt cool on my ears. Was it panning left and right super fast or was it just how that synth sounded?

Amazing sound texture, I'm loving it so much 😎

Love the chords and instrumentation, also the songs match the story so well, I can see myself playing the game already, really good job :)

Nice Vibes. Good atmosphere and sound texture! You got a wonderful combination of classical instruments and electronics. Love this kind of thing!

Great listen. Hits the video game vibe. Playing it twice 😁

Minecraft vibes! Brave the dark has some unsettling tones for sure so it hit the mark pretty well.

A stylistic choice, but I'd love to hear What Was Lost completely drenched in reverb as I think it would suit it really well.

The third songs is awsome. Nice traks!

Developer

Thanks! The third song was probably the one I worked on the least but I really liked how it turned out, glad that you like it too.

I think the correlation to the theme was really good it matched with the story you put. The tracks were unique, but I do think you should've had some type of ending theme of course I know it can be hard because of time constraints and I know you had your Uni Thesis so it completely makes sense. Anyways I think it was a solid soundtrack def going to place higher up compared to others!

Developer

100% I really wanted to do some sort of ending theme to round everything together! I'll look to getting a more complete soundtrack next time. Thanks for listening <3

Your first track is definitely my personal favorite an evokes a feeling of nostalgia under a night sky, which is perfectly fitting to your description. Nostalgia is evident within your theme and you compelled that through instrumentation very clearly in this OST. Keep it up!

I'm very glad that it was able to be consistent throughout the OST and the first track was definitely was a worked on the most. Yeah the theme in itself felt very introspective which made me feel nostalgic. It's also generally the music I listen to so I gravitated to that feel easily. Thank you so much for listening :DDD
