Ugh, the intro bass synth on the title theme really scratches an itch! This whole album sounds like an authentic send-up to the sega genesis in all the right ways, even down to the composition style itself.

The boss 1 theme timing makes my head hurt!

The concept is really strong and the music fits it perfectly. I'm a big fan of the tightness of your drum samples and how the synths rise and fall!

Very grimy tracks, in a good way.

I like the direction this ost went! It would have been cool to have heard a bit of that guitar in the first track to hear a foreshadowing as to what will come, maybe as a light background part of a single phrase. Sounds great!

Thank you Chris! Your project is great btw

Great chordal choices for underwater stuff, that progression is a classic! I would have loved to have heard a sub-bass in the first track to really fill out the low end.

I like the effects you went with for the arp in the second track, contributed to the overall sound perfectly.

I vibe with the soundtrack heavy, anything to do with underwater sounds is a winner to me!

I love how you use some really crunchy sounds but still keep the tone gentle and calm, it's a great mix. Angler's den is a good experimental track which moves away from the general tone of the ost, but if it's intentionally a very different scenario like a boss battle then it works very well.

Thanks! By coincidence I just saw another puzzle game by fosterstonemusic so if you're interested I'll link it here:

It has some really fun ideas with blending genres, and sounds great in general.

Really beautiful piano sound on this, just the right amount of warmth and clarity.

Great melodies as well! I was also not expecting dubstep to suit the general theme but it does for sure. Great job blending the two.

Love the hang drum! It all sounds very professionally done, but I guess that's because you are! This one definitely needs some more recognition.

This is a track I'd expect to hear from a person who has spent years composing this kind of music, and you're telling me you're a month in? That's just unfair!

First track reminds me of "enter the gungeon"!

The orchestral sounds you use at the end sound really full and well done, which is great considering it sounds like your main style is electronic - awesome that you can do both!

The feel of  "Inside my world" is endearing in a strange way, reminds of some other game tracks that have that intentional time looseness going on.

The soundtrack in general gives me Stardew vibes a little, and I'm super impressed you got it all in such a small turnaround! Really great job.

Minecraft vibes! Brave the dark has some unsettling tones for sure so it hit the mark pretty well.

A stylistic choice, but I'd love to hear What Was Lost completely drenched in reverb as I think it would suit it really well.

This is cool! Drums are super punchy and they don't step in the way of anything. I think a thing that would really round it off would be some kind of pad sound in the background, maybe some strings or a synth.

Dreamscape caught me off guard, the ending is so pretty! I love instrumentation you've gone with, as I have a soft spot for the sound of a hang drum - the choir sounds fantastic as well.

Black and white gives me a "binding of isaac" vibe with the guitar, which is a big compliment!

I like all the processing you are doing throughout this soundtrack! Particularly the Heaven's Door sample in the  beginning and the watery sounds in hoanglonplanner.

The chords at the start are great! You can really hear the zelda influence throughout for sure, but is there also some pokemon in there too?

I like that you can still hear your own style in it as well, alongside the influences.

20 tracks!! How is that even possible?

Serpent boss battle sounds great and I can't believe the rest of them have so much going on in them as well! You must have been in a flow state or something, such a good skill to be able to produce so much in such a short time.

The production is so good on this one, really great work! Also, your sound is very unique and has such a strong style.

Beautiful submission! I like that you kept it simple and let the violin-playing stand out, as it really shines. A very peaceful ost.

The production is great on this project - really clean mixes for such a short time frame. Sounds great!

I mean it's cat sounds and synths, what's not to love about it - love the vibe you went for!

I appreciate the feedback and it's actually super useful as I was feeling the same way about it - thanks!

Thanks! Library is definitely the one I'm happiest with

Thanks so much!

I couldn't help but smile the whole way while listening to this - it's so fun!

Big props on making a soundtrack using garageband stock instruments and still making it sound fun to listen to, I was never actually put off at all by the sounds at any point because I think you used them very cleverly! I really love the riff in the 3rd track.

It's cool! It's very clear that Undertale is your main inspiration for this OST as I can very clearly hear which tracks refer to each part of the Undertale soundtrack, but I like the way you took it.

aero is my favourite!

Sounds so good! One of my favourites so far. I particularly like the instrumentation you went with.

The one sound that was catching my attention was the cymbals, as their placement sounded a little intrusive in a couple spots. Really beautiful build on the second track too, I could just listen to a loop of that for ages.

I could really see this being the actual ost for the inspiration artwork!

Hey! For little theory and FL studio knowledge I think this is really great - I really like the way you're going about adding movement and direction with the automation feature. A really good parameter to try playing with using automation would be the "cutoff" on your instrument - I think it may give you a better sound in some spaces rather than using a volume automation. Give it a try if you haven't already! Really nice chords by the way.

You have a great ear for chords! A lot of chordal choices you went for were really pleasant and had such nice colour to them. Great atmosphere.

I like this one a lot! It has its own unique style and is very unapologetic for it.

I'd love to hear a full OST of this and see how far the intensity goes, because I think that's where this sort of style would shine. I'm very impressed by the mix as well!

This is really beautiful - you could tell immediately that it was going to be really well done. As a drummer, I liked what you did with the drum production and where it sat in the mix.

The fact it's just one track makes literally no difference - this is such a huge amount of work! Having the violin played for real makes such a big difference too. Will definitely be listening to this a bunch!

Haunting! I really love how confident and brash you are with the crunchy synth sound in BIGBAD, it suits the tone perfectly. Gives my Inscryption vibes a little.

I really like that you can tell some parts are not quantized! The blend of orchestral and electronic is very well done.

The first entry I've listened to where I was shouting to myself at the computer the whole time. This is some next level stuff, everything is just amazing - the guitar playing is perfect, synths sound huge and gritty, the push and pull is just professional.

No way this isn't a perfect score!

Die Einkaufshalle sounds just like Domi and JD beck - Knxledge! I really like how bouncy the drums make it sound and your dynamics on the arp.

I can really hear this whole soundtrack being used on a small indie game, great job!

You clearly have some strong orchestral composition chops! The ending to Theme was perfect.
Before submitting my tracks, I was imagining the kind of pieces I would expect to hear in the top 20 submissions - this is definitely the sort of thing I was imagining! The quality is immaculate.

FROM THE DEEPEST DESIRES OFTEN COME - Cool idea! I think to match the intensity of the track, it would have been nice to have had some crunch in there with maybe a distorted synth or guitar patch. The bells at the start could have come down a little in volume as I think it was a touch harsh. Some kind of driving bassline would have suited the drums perfectly too as they sounded great.

Good Old YOU - The sax patch for chords/pad would really work if it had a bit more of a different texture to the lead instrument, so maybe an organ or something? I particularly like the second section on this one.

Inside My World - This one gives me big Earthbound vibes - unless it's an integral part of the whole soundtrack, I could have heard this one without drums maybe? Would be interesting to hear what it sounds like without them.

Is This Even YOU - As I'm listening while leaving this comment, this one is my favourite so far. Very creepy and I love the descending part in the intro. For the main melody, I think it needed a couple of "wrong" notes just to keep it sounding creepy and not just happy.

THE DEADLIEST HATE - Yeah this one's great, no notes

The YOU you WISH you were - Love the bitcrush effect on the drums on this one! I'd love to hear more of that across the whole soundtrack.

2nd track immediately got me on board! Sounds really great. I think I could have done with a little more happening in the lower frequencies but that's definitely a personal choice and not an objective one.

3rd track is also fantastic, and I think the final cherry on top to make it really stand out would  be to fine tune the piano velocities, as the notes all currently sound roughly the same dynamic. A little bit of up and down on the melody dynamic would sound great!

Good job! I think, although the general composition is quite simple, this isn't necessarily a bad thing and it doesn't detract from the fact that it sounds good. If you were to make a whole sountrack with this style I think it would really fit an aesthetic game, maybe like Abzu or something similar.

If you only had two days to make this track I'd say you did great!
