- I did not think I'd enjoy this game as much as I did, I ended up playing everything you had to offer (even while I'm terrible at platformers as of late). Besides that, the art style is fantastic; the controls are very cool to learn; the music was enjoyable from start to finish; and the implementation of the themes made sense (based on what was said in your GDD). I would definitely like to see the story expanded upon, and how the themes are used as a result of the story and gameplay as a whole. This is one I definitely enjoyed and cannot wait to see what else you do! Awesome stuff. P.S. Beep Beep
- Very good GDD, I loved seeing the whole design laid out with such complex details. Very cool! The ideas and foundations link very nicely to the game jam, and the underlying themes are mysterious & magical with an awesome soundtrack! Your training section was fantastic and well thought through. Thoroughly enjoyed my little play through. Feedback: Add the ability to speed up and slow down the sensitivity of the owl. Add more control to the potions that are thrown (things like increase throwing speed or distance it can be thrown) The rest of the game is nicely laid out and thought out, please keep going with this. I would be very interested to see how you implement new items and upgrades to the movement and the potions :)
- GDD Good with the logo of the game! the pace of the GDD is good. Nice to see images for inspirations. Good with explaining the game mechanics. Always show the images of the game and write the thoughts behind art down. Very good. Good minimum viable product. Also yes. Absolute gaming. Game At first I noticed there is a flicker in main menu. Probably a visual bug? Good with the settings! Good with the skip button! I noticed the tutorial text said [arrow keys] but I can use ASWD movement? I can stand on spiderweb? Probably a bug? The jumping and potion feels very quirky because it feels almost as they are ahead of time before I registered it in eyes. The level design feels good, but I dont like how the spike trap, lava and saw-wheels gives like instant respawn but fireballs doesnt.
- Great platformer. Controls are easy to understand. Sound effects give the nostalgic feeling of classic Sonic. Could lean a bit more into the "shadow" theme, but it's well done overall. Make more games!

The movement is smooth and responsive, the artstyle is great! There's a lot of mechanics. Unfortunetly i'm bad at platformers so this was a bit difficult for me. 10/10
Really good game, mechanics are so cool!
Cool game! The art style is so cute. The controls were a little tricky, and I got stuck at a certain point and didn't know where to go. But the explosion potion was so fun and you get bonus points for having breakable things in the level hehe
This game rocks! The pixel art is so clean, the movement is satisfying, the sound design is immaculate, and you play as a magic bird. My only critique is that the keyboard controls are not very intuitive, though I suppose the gamepad support makes up for it.
The gameplay was awesome! Movement so satisfying!
The music and art is really good, like actually great, but the owl seemingly moves too fast.
REALLY cool, feels really nice and smooth and polished for a game made in just 2 weeks!
This was a fun game, I wasn't expecting the toyota at the end but it was pretty funny lol. My main criticism is that the potion throwing could be a little bit faster perhaps, as it felt a little clunky to fight enemies with it.
What a gorgeous game! The art and music/sound is absolutely fantastic. The gameplay also feels pretty solid once you have momentum going, especially during the boss fight and toward the latter half of the platforming sectiong! Moving around in tight spaces can feel a little bit awkward though. Also, I never thought I'd say this, but I think you actually respawn too quickly after taking damage. there were many times where I died to the same spike 3 or 4 times in a row because as soon as I hit it, I was teleported immediately behind it and still running, straight into it again. That said I love the momentum idea for the explosion ability, and would be interested to see more platforming sections with that. Great stuff!
The bond between owl and 2006 Toyota Corolla is strong and beautiful 💚 amazing artwork and music, novel concept and movement mechanics, I'm not much of a platformer so hard to say what was tricky controls versus my unfamiliarity, but well worth finishing to see the end credits sequence, congrats to you all for a great submission!
Fun game and awesome mechanics, I really love how the boost mechanic works with the bomb potion, it's super clever, although even though it's more fun to do it with timing I don't see why the down arrow method exists other then as a free way out. My only other complaint is the controls, I would have definitely preferred Up or space to jump and have the controls more centered around WASD, but overall it's a great game!
I wasn't very comfortable with the key bindings, but other than that, great work, visuals are great, and the music was my favorite aspect. Well done!
The controls felt very tight, which really came handy in the last room. I love the theme, especially the pun that is Owl Chemist. Great job making a nostalgic intro, I felt real charmed by it. I guess one complaint was that I kept wanting to use jumping while throwing a potion, which I don't understand why it wouldn't be possible not too. I also found myself pushing through areas and taking the damage to get to the next checkpoint
Okay, I love everything about this. The visuals, the movement, the mechanics are all on point (even if quite tricky to master!). The game looks extremely polished, and it's a blast to play. The only real criticism I can muster is that there were some sections where I felt that the difficulty incentivized me to tank damage and plow through rather than waiting for cycles or fighting enemies, but given the abundance of checkpoints it wasn't a huge factor. Also, like others, the poison potion set my CPU on fire so I'll be looking forward to the fix! I've played a handful of games from the jam, including some really great ones, but this is the first that has made me think "I'll be mad if this doesn't win." Great work - if this becomes a full game I'll be throwing it on my wishlist immediately!
The keyboard controls could be repositioned to have J K L. But yeah great submission.
Super polished and responsive controls right up until potion throwing which felt really clunky.
