- The effort really shows! I like the creature designs, and the movement was pretty good. The sounds are a little to grind ish sounding, would have been nice to have a little more variations to level that out. Characters all felt good to play, but! The drops need to be more vivid and bright, they were easily over looked in the beginning.

This is a roguelite horde survival game with 3 different characters. You gain new weapons and passive buffs and try to achieve synergy between them, there's also a type for every weapon which gives them unique effects like poison, knocback etc. The more enemies in the screen the darker it gets and you take more damage.

Challenging but fun. I wasn't able to get any OP synergies but I loved trying lol! The music is perfect for this type of game, and the mechanics and interface were intuitive. Good job!
Thanks for playing!
I think the enemies are a bit too fast, they are hard to evade. I'd like auto-attacking to be the default as well. Other than that really nice job! keep making games!
This was a very fun game, I got to level 6 or 7 but it got super hard! Really liked the different upgrades and abilities (Vynthor FTW) as well as the replayability of the game. One issue I found was that if I was in the shadows and went to the next level I was not able to read the abilities to choose from. Apart from that, solid work!
I'm glad you liked the different kinds of weapons and tools, thank you for playing!
Cool game, I like the game idea of darkness increasing the difficulty while you collect items from monster drops!
My feedback for the game is that right now the difficulty, especially without any upgrades as people have said already, is a bit too high as it feels like there’s an unstoppable horde that just comes after you that feels tedious to defeat.
Something that I would suggest is improving the pacing, maybe make the enemies easier or less frequent to allow the player to build up their strength to later handle huger hordes of enemies when it becomes night!
Additionally, a health bar would be nice for the enemies because it could promote a strategy of prioritizing lower health enemies to get to upgrades quicker.
In any case, good job on the game!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm planning to slow down more basic enemies and make the first waves of enemies less crowded in order to give the player more time to get stronger. I actually tried giving enemies health bar during development but it made the screen to crowded and hard to read when enemies piled up. So i thought making enemies look wounded when they are below half hp but that wasn't one of my main priorities since it would require new sprite-sheets. I hopefully add that when jam's voting is over. Thank you for playing!
Sound effects and concept are great. As others have said, it starts off a bit tough, but overall I enjoyed it!
Lovely game!
I really love the vampire survivors type game with this unique theme.
I think balancing it for the starting player would be nice, and player's speed could be faster.
Also maybe click-and-hold might be not necessary for this type of game! As a player, holding down a button is a bit tiring. Aiming would be good enough :3
I see great potential in this game. Keep up the good work!
The damage on arno's basic attack seemed a bit low, I wasn't able to ever take out the original hoard of enemies, it just kept growing bigger. I like the theme!
You are right, i'm planning to slow down first waves of enemies. Thank you for the feedback!
Nice little vampire survivors game. The game was fun, but my suggestion would be that the scaling needs tweaking. I think the game starts a bit too slow. I felt overrun before I even got my first ability. Once things got going things improved (until the darkness made seeing anything impossible). A great prototype! Good job
I'm glad you liked it and thank you for your feedback!
Very fun game hahah, boy that big bat got me.
Thanks for playing! bats are fast lol
Cool game! I noticed that the diagonal movement is slightly faster than horizontal/vertical movement. You can fix this by normalizing the input vector so all directions have the same magnitude. Other than that, good work!
I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for the tip!
There is some depth to playing the game with your weapon path that makes replaying it much more interesting. The screen darkness effect is cool, but I felt like there wasn't much that I could do to get it brighter again. I bet if the player felt like the right kind of skill would be enough to improve it the effect would get even more impactful!
Hey thank you for your feedback. I agree that darkness system needs a little tweaking, the way it works is when an enemy spawns it gets darker by 0.02 and when an enemy is killed it gets bright by 0.01, besides that light type weapons make it brighter by 0.02, 0.03 or 0.04 depending on their level but i guess this is not suitable for every playthrough. Anyways thank you for playing!
