- I AM MEOWLNIR SLAYER OF JOTUNS. Absolutely fun game and a well made prototype which runs overall quite smooth in the browser until the whole jotun population shows up, then it gets laggy. The GDD is well written and acts as a great base for the games development. The skills feel powerful and mighty as they should, the sound and music is amazing and has the correct energy for this kind of game. The only thing you might want to look into is the balancing between the enemies and the player, I was on my first play pretty much unbeatable from the beginning, I could run into all the enemies without really taking damage, running through hordes of enemies with some life leech was enough to keep me topped of. A way to see the upgrades the player has would be great as well like on the side of the screen maybe. I had a lot of fun playing this, thank you and keep the fun work up.

Summarise your game!
You are the mighty Meowlnir, hammer of legend! Thor has been tricked by his nefarious brother Loki and is trapped in the maze of Jotunheim. Battle the Jotuns, get to Thor, and help him escape!
The only controls are to move! Navigate the Jotun maze by following Hugin & Munin to find Thor. Choose weapons and upgrades as you level up by defeating the Jotuns.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
I've always been inspired by Thor and his magical hammer of Norse legend (and have a replica on my desk). If I am to be a weapon, I'd want to be none other than mighty Mjolnir!
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
I'd like the judges to have fun!

Cool concept and overall progression. After a while my computer was failing me a bit with the 1000s of enemies on the screen but managed to get to Thor and finish the game. Congrats on the submission.
We played it with our friends over Discord yesterday and we had super fun :) Got us a while to realize you have to follow crows to find Thor. Also we managed to lag the game, but thankfully we survived due to armour and life steal upgrades :D
Amazing VFX, beam ability was super satisfying and cool.
this game is really addictive and satisfying! the impacts as you hit the enemies feel great, and the bifrost beam sounds AMAZING. i found the different rarities to the upgrades satisfying as well
at first it wasn't clear to me whether was supposed to use the cat foot or try to avoid it, but i figured it out pretty quickly! eventually, the gameplay loop got a bit repetitive, as the life steal percentage effectively made it impossible to die.
Very polished overall, and well-executed. Solid jam submission, good work!
So I got to wave 24 and than the game crashed. On my second play through, I ran straight to the end as I kind-a had the maze memorized. Great game really enjoyed!

Really fun game! A lot of enemy and fast action! Love it! Meow!
It took me way to long to realize I was supposed to be exploring, but I really like the concept of exploration in a vampire survivors style games. I think there's a lot of potential here.
I think the balance probably needs a little tweaking, you probably level too fast early on and you get a little too powerful too quickly.
Overall, really fun game! Nice work.
This game brings a lot of energy, but I never really felt threatened by the enemies. The objective of finding Thor added a nice goal to seek out. Nice job!
Aesthetics, music, and sound design were great! The attacks feel really good, to the point where I didn't even want to find Thor!
The game has no balance, so I felt pretty much immortal with no challenge, like everyone is saying lifesteal is OP lol, but even without it I felt like I would only die if I stood still.
I feel like there's a conflict between wanting to stay to gain more levels and wanting to find Thor. In a longer version of the game, I think it would be good if Thor was the source of upgrades, or if you could only spend your XP after finding Thor between levels.

Very fun. I felt like I became OP too fast, maybe it's some kind of bug? I got a lot of cats and the SFX went wild.
Brilliant game! I only had issues with the Bifröst and high attack speed. And lifesteal dominates everything!

My dumb brain did not figure out that you can hit enemies with yourself for like 10 minutes. Even though 'you are the weapon.'
Indeed the Frost giants won't hit you if you're moving, but you do take just 1 damage for hitting them. Stopping for just a few frames in a large group can mean a lot of damage.

very cool survivors game! the music puts you in a good mood and the gameplay is quite fun. I felt like I got really strong very early so it wasn’t much of a challenge. Overall, well done though!
Really clean game. Love the aesthetic and look and feel. I would just say that if the cat foot could be bit smaller or less visible it would be even better as I could not enjoy the nice graphics as much as I wanted :) but well done !
Life leech definitely super good, good game to just start up and get right into the action
Really fun survivors game. I loved the gigantic cat paw ability as it powered up. I think the life leach might be a little OP once I had some of it I was pretty much unkillable. Great job on this it's fun!
