so creative and polished, it's just missing some nice music

Thank you! Surely planning on creating some.

(Also congratulations on achieving impressive public ratings!)

I'm afraid I can't figure out how to play the game at all. I'm on the first screen where you can press space to start the firefly going in a circle and tab to toggle 2x speed. It says "drag >" but I can't seem to do anything. What is supposed to happen on there?  Should I be able to move something with the mouse?

Developer

The player is supposed to drag the white ring with the mouse.

The tutorials are hastily made due to lack of time, and I admit that I'm especially dissatisfied with the introduction. In fact, I suppose you are not the only one confused by it. This certainly is a priority for post-jam updates, thank you for the feedback! If interested, you are welcome to revisit the game.

ok, that's what I thought. I thought I might be missing something. On my computer that actually doesn't work. I can't drag the circle, it's just stuck in place. Tried on Firefox and chrome on Linux.

Developer

It's strange… Is it true that the dialogue screen and the top-left buttons respond properly to the mouse, but the circle does not move? If it is the case and you are interested, I can build a debug version for you to help me find the problem. I appreciate your attention no matter whether you are available to do this, thank you! I can also be reached in the raylib Discord server by the name Ayu.

I kept trying and eventually it worked, I'm not really sure why though.

Developer

Maybe the clickable range is too narrow. Anyway, I will try to revise it. Thanks a lot for your feedback!

And thank you for making an awesome game! It is very very fun. Great idea overall.

Very interesting game idea! The puzzles are pretty innovative. Nice work on this entry. :D I also like the moments of story in between the puzzles.

Albeit it requires intuition from the player, the gameplay is super innovative and relaxing. It showcases a high level of programming skills.
I liked all the levels (except for 06, which required the rule from 08 and took me some time and trial and error to figure out).

The story is a nice touch too!

Thank you! I'm very delighted to hear that you liked the game and the story.

It's quite meticulous of you to point out such details, kudos! I ran out of time to readjust the levels, my apologies ;-;

Happy lunar new year!

What a well crafted concept! The mechanics are all simple and easy to grasp separately, but they play off of each other really well to create complex puzzles. The tutorial levels are really well made. And watching my solution play out when I finally get it is very satisfying :)

Some music would have added a lot to the experience I think. But considering you were working alone, and how many levels there are, this is super impressive! :)

Thanks for your compliment! It's much delighting to know that you've enjoyed the game.

I find it really sad that I didn't manage the audio part ;-; I was set in the wrong mood for writing music for having less time than was available, but surely would like to finish that after voting ends.

Happy lunar new year!

Super innovative, and connects with the theme well, I love this game. hope to see you in the finals :P

Thank you for your appreciation! Your game was very impressive as well, I'm in the way of farming materials!

Well done and appreciate the increasing levels of difficulty. Congrats on your game :)

Developer

Thank you for your appreciation! Congrats on your game as well!

I enjoyed this one - I didn't manage to complete it, it's actually pretty long (impressively long) and I couldn't get past level 18 (the Olympiad).  The puzzles where you learn a new trick are great.  I found level 6 to be especially hard because I had to do lots of tiny tweaks until the timing was just right.  Most of the other and later levels didn't require such precise tweaking, and I preferred those.

Developer

Thank you, the feedback is highly valuable! I'm taking notes ^ ^

(If interested, the hints and solutions are published here.)

The game has quite an interesting concept. Sadly, it suffers heavy performance issues. At least for me.

Developer

Thank you! May I know what device and browser are you using?

Submitted

A windows laptop with a GTX 980M and a intel i7-6500U. It did not let it affect my rating as mobile worked fine. The console spit out a lot of shader related errors

Developer

I will look into it, thank you!

On a side note, was the performance always poor or does it gradually drop?

Submitted

it was fine during the dialogue but always bad during gameplay

Developer(+1)

Okay, thanks! ^ ^

Beautiful.
