I found that if i went reversed, the boat engine sound would no longer play. Thought i had no nets to cast, came back and read the info then just pressed f to cast and it started casting.
Had major fps issues, even after setting the graphics to low, tho its only when facing the water.

Cool mechanic tho.

I think the fishing mechanic is really original, but i did not completely understand it, the music is really good, the UI could be better, also I had some fps issues, but really liked the graphics of the game.

Great work! i like the mechanic and the look! i found a few bugs, but overall i like this :)

Good environment design. Liked the unique mechanic of driving the boat in a circle

I did have a few frame rate issues where the game would stutter as I was going in a circle so I couldn't close a few of the loops (just handled it by doing smaller loops instead)

Nice work overall though

Nice environment in the game, the music is relaxing, and the fishing is pretty simple.
Faced some problems with the fps consistently being below 30 (I guess) when the boat was facing the lake, when I turned the camera to the buildings it was getting back to the normal rate. But that can be polished with no problem. Overall good job! :D

Nice one. Really enjoyed the fishing mechanic in this one. Really great vibe too.

I kept running out of net after casting once or twice, never catching enough fish to buy more. Not sure if I was just casting in the wrong places and never got lucky, or if I didn't understand how to properly catch fish.

I did have a lot of fun just cruising around and exploring, though.

If you drag the net, you lose the net. you gatta close the loop without dragging the net

Net Casting mechanic worked well, UI could use better styling to match game. Nice submission

Ty. You know how it goes. So many ideas you wanna put in and you end up not having time to polish it.

I enjoyed this one a lot! There isn't much direction, but the actual fishing mechanic is interesting and i had fun with it. I got the 60 net upgrade and wrapped around the rock feature outside the harbor. Perhaps if you were to develop further, things like that could offer a special catch. I wasn't able to determine if there were any different fish from different areas. Admittedly, I eventually just sat right outside the harbor without any real reason to venture further away.

Excellent submission, i enjoyed it!

Developer

thank you. There are other fish in other area Thr great deep area has tuna worth 15 per pound and weight in between 100 and 500 pounds. Unlock the pay for info at the shop and it unlocks new catches.

Dope, that all makes sense. I guess I wasn't sure what the Pay For Info option did so I hadn't tried it. Great work, regardless!

Developer

I also had a plan for a collectable for more cash to encourage exploring but no time.

I Like the gameplay idea a lot! The Fishing net casting mechanic is very satisfying. Sadly the ship is very buggy and bounces random on the water what leads to countless game over screens. Graphics and Music fits the game. Also when you skip the collected Fish window too early you get only the money from the first fish.

I ran into some of those same issues with the bouncing. Just sort of wrote it off as a feature... You have to pay attention to the ships and react as it traverses the waters... Obviously it's a bug though.

Developer

we couldn't get the boat right. It was important for it to be fun but also part of the gameplay.

Developer

yeah. So many little things. I do like the net part as well. I also wanted to add a spline to it and make it more net like. I may develop it more.
