I love the game feel of this game. When the meteors hit the ground, the environment reacts accordingly. It is really satisfying. There was a little lag sometimes when a bunch of stuff was going on at once.
The slowmo when you die is a nice touch =D
Good work!
Seen the stream yesterday!
Sometimes you add a tiny thing to your game, and wonder if anyone'll notice. Thanks for noticing the slowmo, and thanks for playing!
The game fits the music really well, I think. Somehow it's the exact vibes the gameplay exudes.
Funny thing is that I started development with a different background music. Then I tried a bunch of different ones, and then, when I heard this one it really hit me :D
Yeah, face the apocalypse with a cool smile on your face, listen to metal and drive at high speed cuz you don't care about anything, sounds like a sweet dream. I've got so much fun, awesome game!
Thanks! That was exactly the vibe I was going with!
Awesome game!
Thanks for playing!
Great game !!! Really enjoyed the environment here and the meteors are a cherry-topping idea you used. Enjoyed the game! Also do check out my game, Cheers!
Yeah, I feel that meteors are underused in games, and would be a nice addition to most!
Awesome game, felt very badass haha.
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
A good game in every category! Love the low poly look, nice sounds, fun gameplay and good interpretation of the theme. Definetley one of the better submissions.
Thanks! Really glad you liked it!
Great choice of music and pretty good game overall !
I would have liked a bit more feedback on collecting money and especially on impact with other cars/meteorites. Also not sure if it was intentional but some time into my run an entire line of money spawned (and I managed to miss most of it :P)
Great job !
I though about more feedback on money (currently it's just sound), but right now, for 3 day jam, I'm pretty happy with sound+flash as feedback for being hit.
As for the money line- not only it appears sometimes, but it gets longer the further you are in the game! It sort-of adds this risk-reward mechanic, where you need to make this quick decision about basically not dodging for a couple of seconds for massive points.
Anyway- glad you liked it!
cool game
Thanks! :)
Chaotic, fast paced game. Really liked it.
Thanks!
Really fun I'm not gonna lie; easily one of the better submissions. And as PixelRunner said, chad simulator.
Please check out mine if you can too
Thanks for playing, glad you liked :)
I always check out games of people who commented on mine, and I have your downloaded on my home PC. I'll check it out after work.
don't need a chad simulator when you're a chad irl. Please let me know what you think of it when you've tried it out :)
>Literal apocalypse happening
>Broke
>See vast amounts of cash on the road
>Ignore apocalypse
>Get money
10/10 chad simulator
You know it man :)
Thanks for playing!
Cool game! I love zooming down the road with cars flipping in the air and getting crushed by meteors all around me. The graphics are good, but I was having some frame rate issues (even on the windows build). The sounds design is minimal but it's not bad. Overall, it's very fun to speed through the chaos. Good job!
I just discovered what the lags stem from. Basically once in a while I do a very memory-heavy operation. The kicker is, it's a leftover code, so I don't even need to do it since all it does is spawn in a bunch of inactive objects in a short time, and actual spawning of active objects is handled elsewhere in code (and in more efficient way). I'll update it post jam.
For sound design I figures less-is-more in a game like this. You get your feedback (on either getting money or hitting something), and you get your pumping soundtrack. That's it!
Enjoyable chaos was one of my goals, so I'm glad you enjoy it too!
Thanks for playing!
very cool! love the chaos
thought I was doing a very good joob till I saw the scores haha I scored around 25k
Thanks! I was going for the lovable chaos :)
As for scoring 25k- try again :) With some practice you should hit 40k easily!
A genuinely stupid idea that was executed perfectly.
This one actually makes me mad because for gameplay I would like to give it a 6/5. It was hilarious, I smiled while playing and am generally pleased. Got to the leaderboards on my first try! If I get knocked off, Ill come back for vengeance.
What I would suggest is an indicator for your health (never had any idea when I was going to die) and checking the UI post game, it was just empty smaller buttons with no text for me.
This game also makes me mad because it ruins the chances of my game making it to #1 Spot !
Well done.
Seems like there is a bug in my web build- all the writing (health, score, strings on buttons, leaderboards) disappears if you change the screen size :/ So you DO have health indicator, but only if you don't go fullscreen, or if you stick to the windows build.
Other than that- your comment makes my heart grow :) I'm very glad you liked it so much :)
10/10 music
Does get a little laggy if you get pretty far, but otherwise great fun!
Thanks! I've just figured out why it gets laggy, and I'll update it post jam
Nice!
Glad you liked it!
This was sooo fun! Loved concept and music just ROCKs!
Glad you liked it To be honest this is a third jam game I'm using this music. It just works for intense action!
#2 place! music got me pumped :-)
Nooo :D I'm getting pushed down at my own game :D
Loved the game! I've got some goosebumps after the first meteor, it was unexpected)
Thanks! I decided to wait with dropping meteors till 35 seconds, so it's unexpected. Glad it worked :)
