- Genuinely nails the eerie claustrophobia of caves with its visual and sound design, and adds in some nice combat, puzzles and background story for a top-down exploration horror game. Great work!

Good fun, very nice smooth animations and had a claustrophobic feel with the close camera and limited torch range.
Pretty fun game, loved the sounds used and the art, I guess as another said a way to get to stall the monster would be appreciated,
Really creative work, amazing style and gameplay, got me hooked!
Nice art style and atmosphere!) Enjoyed it! Play also mine, its hilarious Halloween chasing)
OMG! Our games are looking similar. I should've make the torchlight like yours :)
Very unique. Loved the art style. Good work!
Super scary loved it
Wow, that was amazing!
I really liked the aesthetics, graphics, and a fairly simple, but a very well implemented concept. (Attack these cute monsters is my new guilty pleasure...)
The only thing I lacked was a really scary atmosphere.
In any case, I enjoyed it and want to replay it many times ;'D
I loved the atmosphere, and the gameplay was all right, but I don't know how to open the crates (I think that's where last two coals are supposed to be).
Thanks for the feedback! There aren't any crates in the game though, all the coal ore is in rocks around the caves so I'm not sure what you're referring to.
Good premise! I struggled a little with the lighting, but I know that was intentional to create the claustrophobic, spooky vibe! Well done!
I reallt loved the game, everything in it was really well made. The only thing that ticked me off is that you can't run away from the scorpion if he sees you. I couldn't finish the game, I always lost when I had like, 4 coals.
Glad you enjoyed! I've seen a lot of people saying they can't run away from the scorpion and I think I know why. You can hold down shift to sprint, which is a bit faster than the scorpion, but that control isn't mentioned anywhere in the menu.
I think the ideal here would be to throw something at the scorpion to slow it down. It would be a nice mechanic I think. But it's a good game!
We were thinking of adding traps that you could use to temporarily stun it, could be added in the future. Thanks for your feedback!
You clearly know what a good game is. I loved the gameplay and feeling the game has.
Great Job!
coooooooooooool !
Love the games look the art is really nice and eerie. The creatures pulling the player is a nice touch, and the jump scares are spot on specially when I saw the large monster that thing is terrifying looking. Great aesthetic and the sounds were spot on to really bring home that creepy eerie feeling. Nice work enjoyed playing it.
Thanks! Glad you liked the scorpion's design, it was fun to make.
Wow, super impressive game! I had to stop playing for a second to write this comment because my list of things I like was getting too long to remember. The perspective is super cool and unique, the pickaxe swing and hit is satisfying, the notes look spooky and i love the handwriting, and I love the aesthetic and the concept overall. Great job!
The creature design was cool, and the overall aesthetic really fit together well.
Nice going!
I really liked the top down view with a limited field of view determined by the flashlight, it really forced the player to rely on their ears to pinpoint the monster's location! The notes were a very nice way to convey the backstory as well. One recommendation I'd make would be to either make it so that the player can run away from the monster, or to have the monster catch up almost instantly - I sometimes found myself running for a while before encountering a dead end and dying. Overall great entry, I loved the claustrophobia that came in being in such a cramped space while hunted!
Thanks for the feedback! As for the chasing, you are able to outrun the monster if you break its line of sight for a few seconds, or if you run far enough away (You are slightly faster). I did intentionally design there to be a lot of dead ends to encourage learning the caves more and to spike up the fear factor when they hit one when getting followed.
I liked the atmosphere. I found the movement a bit tricky. Try my game (playable in the broser), it also has a flashlight, but you have to find it. :-)

Really wanted to give this one a go but the HTML embed on the itch page seems to be really laggy on my end, art style looks really cool but I can't really play it. I won't drop a rating just now, just thought I'd let you know!
I could try to upload the windows version, maybe that would help
