A very cool visual style. I liked how the angel sounded like a chess piece made of stone. It took me quite a while to find the orbs, and then I couldn't find a way out. Luckily, I kept my orbs on death, so when the angel killed me I got back outside the maze and the other gate was open.

I like visual style of this game!!! i lost in a maze few times but its ok! GJ!

Looks cool! I think the enemy should not kill the player if he is looking at him. And there are times when you reach a dead end and the statue blocks the passage, which is why you die in any case.

Developer

the reason I put ‘no return zones’ in the maze was to force players to look ahead in the maze in some places, and thanks for playing my game!

It definitely has a lot of personality, I think the only bad thing is that we are in a maze.

The graphics and retro vibes are gorgeous. I love the purple with the pop of green and red for the orbs and angel.

The screen is very innovative, but it's easy to get lost in the maze.

I think thats the point of a maze, i like It difficult

Good use of the weeping angel formular with a unique artstyle/color scheme.
I find the filter cool but damn if doesn't hurt my head after a while.

Your game reminds me of game named Lidar, just the style and the ambient, i think it's a great game and it could be a solid project too. The style is very specific that makes the game special, i enjoyed it

Man that full screen filter is gorgeous!

Simple and scary :D

What an acid trip, wow! No clue how you possibly did that effect. Fun premise for the gameplay too, although I basically just  walked backwards in a loop until I won

Woah, this is so trippy... super unique visuals!

I must say, bold choice to make an labyrinth escape game where you basically cannot look where you are going, nice twist, made me really worry where the hell I was going (especially after dying in a one slim dead end lol). The visuals were also fun, bit different, at first I worried it would cause eyestrain for me but to my delight it didn't and I quite actually liked how the shaders looked, especially with the angel statue too. Probs for the sound design too, there were some ambient noises that definitely made me even more worried for what I couldn't see.

Good stuff, good work.

This is so freaking scary, literally yelped when I turned the corner. Filter on the game looks amazing. One thing that would make it betters is if the angel would try a different method of approaching you when you lose it behind walls as that would keep the suspense up where in the latter half it had gone away.

Weeping angels! This is so great, the aesthetic is intense but super cool. The angel getting closer scared me lot lol, I got too scared to keep playing after a bit, my heart dropped every time.

the post processing looks super trippy, really love how the shadows look. i'm not a huge fan of weeping angels because you just have to walk backwards if there are no other hazards around, some pits or spikes that force you to occasionally look forward would add a lot. as it is i just walked backwards against the walls and found an orb, then i accidentally walked into the angel when i was trying to exit a path. the ai generated itch page copy doesn't fit the game at all either. i'd advise staying away from that stuff, especially since this jam prohibited it's use.

thanks for the advice, the description was more to decorate it (the images make the page too long and I needed text xd) and translate it from Spanish to English, I will change it

Submitted

i totally get using it for translation, but just translate what you actually want to say rather than having the ai spit out some nonsense. people like art cause it comes from other people, i want to hear what you have to say about this piece of art you worked hard on. either way, great work getting a complete experience out by the end of the jam!

completely true, the truth is that now I feel a bit bad about it, but thanks for the advice, the good thing is that I won't do it again,   the important thing is to learn from my mistakes

Submitted

i totally agree, that's why i enter these things too!

I looove the aesthetics I was also trying to figure out this kind of filter. The angel statue is also a great choice. It's like come home to mama when ur lost mama's right here dsosidcmhasodi

really good game me I was just lost in the game

Loved the art style. I have tried to do something similar but couldn't get it to look as good as yours.

Woah the visuals in this are super trippy, but I feel the angel is too dang fast! I managed to collect two orbs but it feels like I have to go through the entire maze backwards unless there is some trick I'm missing?

Developer

The idea is that It is a hard enemy, my clue is you should visit all the corners of the maze
